MOT until June 11th
Silver with black leather.
It's the CD model
Just north of 166k.
Service history lost by previous owner.
Nice old reliable V70.
Uses no oil or water.
Never overheats - ever.
New battery.
Fancy aftermarket alarm, which works well.
It has the later XLT wheels with Continental Conti winter contact tyres. The rears look like they've been run under inflated, as they're more worn on the edges than the centre. I've been using them since October like this, and they're ok.
It failed last years mot on both outer cv boots and a useless handbrake. The garage did the boots, and I did the handbrake with new shoes and the expanders cleaned and lubed. I got it up to mot standard, but bear in mind the handbrake may need further fettling for the next test.
The cruise control doesn't work. I fitted a replacement column stalk, but no. I didn't investigate further as it really doesn't bother me, I only use it for work really, and that's only 15 minutes away.
I took it up to Stansted Airport just recently, and it drove as solid as a rock at speed. It's the 170 bhp version.
Couple of other things do not work, like the headlamp levellers and headlamp wipers. They did up until just recently.
It could probably do with a belt sooner rather than later.
I'm sure I missed lots out, so please ask if you wish to know anything else.
Some pics, taken in a very dusty field last summer at an airshow.
And finally, one with the later style wheels on.
I still have the original wheels if required.
