Thanks for the info on voltage regulator. Any chance you have a Bosch part number? There are a couple of others that come up in a list as compatible but they are for alternators that don't have a regulator thats integral apparently? . The ampage is too low. this is the 30amp one . theres a Porsche one too... Bosch Voltage Regulator 61660321200.

Well done on the electrics, Luke! A black art if ever there was one! You should see significantly better, at night, now.

Yep and I can listen to music have the full headlights etc on and they don't go dim when I get to a junction. Time to refurbish the stereo sytem that was in there. It used to be quite impressive but the speakers are all shot.

Havent been able to do much on the fulvia recently as Ive had a pair of eye operations. One on each eye. So not been able to see that well for a few weeks. I cant drive yet but Its getting better everyday and I should have fantastic vision when its all done..... So now that I'm able to see well enough to do a few bits and spend a bit of time on the internet. Ive got to the end of the summer after a 17 year wait with the car fully back on the road and have covered about 1500 miles over the spring to the late summer. Ive only had one slight break down in the fulvia if you take out the bonnet and windscreen meeting up and scaring the bejesus out of me. That was the exhaust coming a bit loose as the mounting bolt fell or snapped off. It wasnt too bad and i was able to turn round and go home and fix it without any disasters. So that means Ive had a very good look over the car and now I've got a winter list with a deadline for the Trackday at Goodwood. Heres some notes Ive made for winter To sort the Squeaky front suspension and poor handling ...possibly busted leaf in the leafspring. Koni classic shocks to fit. Leak on the steering box Slightly vague steering due to the steering box and idler needing a refurb. Engine: Slight rattle on overrun inside the engine when hot. Could be a worn chain thats a bit stretched? possibly a Valve thats not quite right? Worn Valve guides? Not too sure. They need to have the valve seats cut properly and may fit some valve guide oilseals as per the series 2 cars? There are lots of body work tidying bit to do all over the car . The worst is mainly rear driversside wing and bonnet Wheels to refurb. Brakes need to have the mastercylinder dealt with. The pushrod from the pedal isnt quite right. could be pushing off center and fouling the rubber gaiter. Remove the subframe with the gearbox and engine intact. fix the leaking steering box. fix the suspect leafspring . fit new rubbers to the leafspring. fit new shocks. Have a good look at the gearbox fill with the thick oil. Dinitrol the sills and around the subframe boxes. Fit new timing chain to the engine. engine flush and fill with good oil. Oil filter. connect up and fill heater. fit new windscreen. Well thats about it for now. heres a few pics of stuff to do as they are better than words . . and a shot of a couple of italians at the Bopeep Hill climb

Glad to hear the eye ops went well, that must be scary. The list looks daunting but just keep at and keep driving it to remind yourself why you love it so much. Fall is our best season here so I’ve had mine out and about.

subframe out again:to fix the squeaky suspension fit new shocks new bushes and steering box leak.
well here we go...ive borrowed a go-pro kind of camera thing and will try to do a video when I workout how to work it. heres a few fish eye shots with it before that. bonnet off, fluids out, then disconnect everything electrical Carbs and airbox off. rad out and disconnected the steering shaft from the steering box. Tomorrow; exhaust off front brake hoses off and hopefully front of the car over the top of the frame/engine and gearbox.

Don't forget to disconnect the front brake hoses :-)
Love Lancias, shame that they were not viable - Italian engineering and quirkiness at it's best.
I have always fancied a RHD Deta Integrale.
