	There is one of those in a local scrapyard the makes me sad...Obvious restoration that took a rear hit and got wrote-off even though many of us go to much greater lengths to fix a rot-bucket.

	how does it drive with front drum brakes? I really like these old Volvos, both the 'Buckel' and the Amazon, and would love a replica of Joginder Singh's 1965 Safari Rally winner (but that's just an idle dream)

	I do like this. Saw one at the Hot Rod Drags a couple of weeks ago with an almost Cal Look stance, which looked superb.

	Hi! Thanks for the reply's... Fluid Film is a legendary protection fluid.... Look:http://fluidfilm.de/en/ Drum brakes are ok,better than most think.They have some "DIVA" behaviour after a night in damp wheather but you learn to handle it. I use the car as often i could,it's so much fun to drive.And it's good on fuel ,too. Yep,the star is gone.... I'm looking for a tow bar now....next year i will couple on my Eriba Puck caravan.... Cheers

	Hello! It's time for a "longer" geared rear axle!You know about german "Autobahn"? The stock axle has a ratio from 4,56, so at 100km/h the engine rev's 4000 rpm in top gear....noisy! So my idea was to fit a axle from the later 544 with the legendary B18 engine.This is geared 4,1. After some time i find one on ebay.... Have to collect it 250km away.....but ,hey i'm happy to find one! Here it is! I thought the 544 axle is the same like the one on my 444....epic fail... The brackets are different.... This has to go...time to warm up the anglegrinder! Done... I have to cut the old brackets from my oem axle and weld it into place on the "new" one... The bracket for the Panhard rod.... Finished,ready for go back in the car! Also get the missing "V" from sweden! Perfect! After refitting the axle i must say:Was worth all the hassle! Now 500 rpm less then befor!Only 3500 rpm at 100km/h Acceleration is still fine.... Top car! Cheers
