A random discussion in the pub last November after the VWDRC AGM saw a group of us heading to Belgium over the weekend to the Freddyfiles. I've known about it for years but never been, so now was my chance!
Three of us set off from Buckingham at 6am Saturday morning to head down to the channel tunnel. We made it in plenty of time for our 8:20 crossing (trip computer recorded an average speed of way over 70mph...) and before we knew it we were sat having breakfast with others in our group in a McDonald's on the edge of Calais.
Three car convoy to Belgium then. I love the French autoroutes, there's a high chance you'll see something old and French along the way:
