I have finally managed to fit the sump guard and new gaz shocks to the front of the car. I already had a set of New gaz fitted to the rear of the car. Now it's all marching set all round. Took the car for a drive it did drive very well, stayed cool, handled really well and all seems to work OK. Not a bad start for a freshly built car.

Woah, what awesome vision you have! And then having the skills/time/stubborn disposition to actually see it through.
I applaud you.
It looks amazing now its back together, have you given any thoughts to some sort of ballast over the front wheels so the handling isn't akin to a greased pig?
I've actually seen another twin engined R5, it was purple and used to park on the street behind my house close to 10years ago, I can't imagine there was more than a couple in existence?

Would have loved to see a whole lot more pictures detailing how you managed to swee-talk that Audi drive train into the back of the R5. Any specs on total and F/R weight?
Is it still too early to get some adjective-laden verbiage of what it feels like to drive this thing?

Thanks, glad you liked the car. I'm planning to get the car corner weight and setup properly. To be honest the car handels pretty well as is. As far as I know they used to be two well known twin engines R5 GT Turbos. There used to be a Eurosports built (by Iain Nixon) orange car and my Grey car. Now I believe there is an other well built white Twin Engined R5.

I will be building and other one and will try to take lots of photos of the built. I have to say it is a quite a fun car to drive. I love the revy V8 engine, great torque, handels very well and most importantly it stays cool and it's been reliable.

I have to say it is a quite a fun car to drive. Got to be the most understated quote of the year I reckon (in the words of Blackadder) it must be madder than Mad Jack McMad, the winner of this year's Madman competition Top work sir, I bet the drive is a real hoot.

I attended the French Car Show and I have to say it was quite good event. It was good to be out and about with the car. Lucky R5 did very well, all the way to Castle Combe from London and back without any issues. Not bad for the first long drive.

Hi I'm brand new to retro rides and it was your car that got me here!! What a cracking job sir! That is some amazing work, I'm loving some of the engineering and fabrication to get that lump in there. Would love to see some pictures of the underneath of the rear of the car (sub frame etc).I know how much work (and epic amount of time) go into these projects as I built the White twin engine 5 GT you spoke about earlier in your post.
Are you going to any other shows this year, would love to have a look around your masterpiece.
Hats off great work.

Having built a Twin Engine R5, I know that you can appreciate how much work it takes to get the car to this stage. I will take some more photos of the car when its on a ramp next time. I did link the front subframe to the back one and tried to strengthen the shell as much as possible while staying stealth. I didn't want and of the roll cage etc visible from outside. I like to drive the car as much as possible and will be going to more shows but not sure which ones. I attended the Retro Car Show in Santa Pod earlier this month. It was interesting trying to get all the camping gear in my R5.
