I have an old 92 PUG 106 1.1petrol and its not starting and i wonder if anyone has used Easy Run: Fuel Stabilizer in a car engine before? It say either petrol or diesel, 4 or 2 stroke, so i guess is pretty no specific stuff This is what i bought, doesnt seem to be car on the label hehe

Fuel stabiliser is for using in vehicles that are stood for long periods it Allegedly helps stop the fuel going off. if you have a fuel related starting problem that wont make any difference.

You'd be better off trying to figure out why it isn't starting and rectifying that, rather than pouring random fluids into it in the hope it starts

Dunno about the stuff you've bought, but easy start is just some highly flammable stuff that you spray in the air intake to get a struggling motor going. It's not recommended for frequent use as it can quickly knacker your engine, but can help in emergencies!

My old London taxi used to be a sod to start in the cold I used cheep air freshener to get her going worked a treat lol

I used to have braddex easy start but after a few sprays the bloody nozzle never shut so the can used to continue spraying.... I then resulted using brake cleaner as that's the only thing I had and it worked a treat...
Tried tow starting it?

My old London taxi used to be a sod to start in the cold I used cheep air freshener to get her going worked a treat lol I carry a couple of cans of dash cleaner in my truck, useful for starting transits when they have ran out of fuel and need priming, seems to be a regular occurrence with transit drivers.

Its a 106 so I would be willing to put money on the coil pack. I have ordered new distro cap and "spinny jobby" that sits inside. try that first as it was only 20E + postage. Coil packs are a bit more expensive Cheers tho, that will be my next stop.

Testing it costs even less, I would need a voltage tester, if the supermarket does not sell it then its a 45min drive down the mountain to find the french equivalent of halfords (feu vert)

Have you even checked to see if it's sparking or not?

Changed the distro and rotor and seems to be fine now. Still making a horrid noise, sounds like an angle grinder firming up in there. I think maybe it's because I have a too large battery in it. I took the battery out of my 2L Megan's scenic and popped it in the pug.
Maybe it's getting too much current ? Ned to try a smaller battery and see

Ned to try a smaller battery and see I'm pretty sure that's not possible. My mini runs a battery out of a 2.0ltr diesel and it has no problems. Providing it's 12V, a battery can only be too small, not too big.
