Bloomin eck. I didn't bother looking at this at first, I thought it was going to be a manky slammed Renault 5 campus or something.
Turns out I was wrong, but I'm fine with that. Good work, keep it up.

Good work, keep it up. Its certainly not a purists approach i'll admit.. and there aint much left that Monsieur Peugeot originally designed, but i never started out to follow a trend or style.. the brief always was and still is: An XSi that can hustle my fat butt across the fens backroads as quick and safe as possible...

Been following this on mig-welding for as long as I can remember....... Kinda hoping it will get finished one day It'll get there someday... i make no excuses for the rate of progress (other than the 2 companies that dicked me around for 30 months claiming to be 'harness specialists' and in fact being little more than c*n*s) The boy came along so that kinda redirected my attentions (and money) and of course the ol favourite of jobs changing a few times.. The reassemble should be straight forward.. and its about ready for paint so fingers crossed it'll be sorted soon...

Is that a Dash2? What ECU are you using?

So... before it goes to paint its gotta come off the spit which gives me chance to finish that awkward little corner infill.. Look at it... LOOK AT IT!! its positively mooning at me it sits under the headlight so i had 3 options.. Leave it = c**t Filler = c**t Shape metal, welder up = proper job.. With that in mind... i found some bits at work that bolt up to create a 'knocking block' basically it'll hold a bit of steel flat while you smash the sh1t out of it... Et voila!! As the garlic posse says.. I can now slice out an infill piece to fill the hole, tig it up, sand it all up flush and get it off to paint..

Did you build your own harness and do calibration or can you recommend someone that could do this?

A 13amp plug is about my limit for electrickery The harness was build by a friend of mine (Sean @ BespokeWiringSolutions) As for calibrating the dash, i havent got that far yet i havent even got a working laptop at the minute.. mapping will probably be done by another friend (Sam Cotton @ Jamsport in Northampton) he knows the ecu and the dash so i'm hoping he'll talk me thru it when the time comes.. Whereabouts in the UK are you??

Whereabouts in the UK are you?? Thats the limit of my electrical knowledge too! I have had the car wiring stripped down to the minimum which is required and a harness made for the ETB digidash but I'm ditching that as it needs about £400 spent on sensors whereas the Dash2 takes the majority of readings straight from the Omex. I'm in Newcastle, I'll send your mate Sean an email and see if he can make something up without seeing the car.

Nothing of great excitement to report.. made up these 2 cross members to accept the wheels off the spit once the underside is painted (gotta keep the bodyshop boys happy)

Ello chaps.. Remember them discs?? Got the floor holes filled in: Then got a load more cut at 20mm round and with the aid of a step drill started going round the inner wings opening everything up to 20mm and plugging them all up: Finally bit the bullet and took the lip RIGHT off the scuttle area too, the cage blocks off the std drain points so there was a risk of the scuttle becoming a bird bath: Finally, the wishbone gusset things are all welded in:

keep noticing little touches that i didnt before, bars from wishbone mounts to strut top. drop arms on the struts so you get long spring length without effecting bump steer

Even little things like the reworked exhaust hangers etc etc.. The turret tops are now thicker, moved back for extra caster and also allow spring changes through the hole without having to remove the strut.. hopefully it will all add up to a useable car thats easy to work on/live with..
