Didn't you just buy the e23 off eBay for £1223 last week? even if he did its not a crime to make a profit you know. Of course not, I just think it's a bit more honest to claim you're flipping the car having bought it a few days ago. It certainly went cheap on ebay - I was watching it myself and was tempted, especially as I was down the road from Harrogate that weekend but I just didn't have the time.

There is a profit and then there is taking the P. Over 100% mark up is taking the P No one's forcing you to buy it. It's his car, he can ask what he likes for it and what he paid for it is absolutely irrelevant. There's no such thing as "taking the curse word" when pricing a car because someone will only pay what they think it's worth. And why should he have to explain that he's flipping a car? I never feel the need to explain to people why I'm selling a car and it's not something I ask people who I'm buying off. They have a car for sale that I want, how they got it and how much they paid is non of my business.

Grab your torches and pitchforks!! Someone's making a profit!!!
Who cares if he put £10k on top of what he paid!
So you're telling me if someone sold you a MKI Escort for £500 you'd be against selling it for more than £1000?
Tut tut, disgusting behaviour in my opinion, intrigued as to what you was trying to gain by 'outing' him? And on his for sale thread no less!

You could leave a deposit and I would accept the rest in 1 month. The car is still a good deal at 2500, the cheapest comparable one with MOT on carandclassic or classiccarsforsale is 3600 and has chrome wheel arches to hide rust............

That 7-series has such a beautiful dashboard, reminds me of the old Grundig radios, what a lovely car!

Didn't you just buy the e23 off eBay for £1223 last week? hi Mark, no i took it 2days ago as part payment for my other classic car for £2500, the vendor told me the rear electric windows wouldnt work but in fact all 4 windows didnt work and the on board computer was playing up as well. I have meanwhile repaired all those things at a cost of £300 plus drained the old windscreen washer fluid and put new one and this fantastic classic BMW Icon is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner.
