Hi everyone, as per the title really. I can understand that people don't want to lend parts out to a total stranger but I'm getting desperate. I'm after borrowing a 7x13 mini wheel and tyre to test fit onto my reliant kitten before I buy some, the last thing I want to do is shell out for some wheels that have no chance of fitting. If anyone does have a wheel which I could borrow I'll leave a securing deposit if that makes me more trustworthy, and I'll pay you with beer. Thanks

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Where abouts in the NW are you? There's a few big mini clubs up that way, try one of them?

It will drive and handle much better on 10" wheels and you can lower it 2.5" if you keep the 10.s . Front springs can have 1.5 coils cut and the rear axle need to come out and swap the perch bracket so it sits on top rather than underneath . Top front wishbone have spacer shims in which come out to get rid of the standard positive camber . Best fun I've had was when I had mine on 10" wheels as you don't need low profile tyres with just over 500kg

I take it that your kitten isn't mobile right now then? I'd try Manchester Minis if you haven't already, I'd offer my own ultralites but I'm an hour away from you :/

Cheers everyone,I need the 13s to get the front disc conversion to fit otherwise I'd probably stick with 10's,the car isn't mobile at the moment,I'm hoping to drop the body on tomorrow. I think I've found someone on a local mini site that is going to let me borrow a wheel. Yours looks well froggy, that's the saab turbo one isn't it?

Yes still got it . You'll need spacers to clear the leaf springs and you'll get some rubbing on lock but 13,s will go on as long as the ride height is std . I'd pull the shims out of the top arms as you'll really see the positive camber with the bigger wheels. I did s 10" disc conversion but it was a bit involved using home made discs Machined a spigot and welded it to the back face of the hub and bolted the disc to that just like old cortinas and escorts with a mk3 fiesta caliper .

Cool, why do people not use the mini disc set up? Is there a reason?
