ive not seen this one here yet. i first saw this pic years ago, not sure if its proper baja as its lowered but I'm sure its still my favourite VW ever. love this one too, and I'm not a fan of lowered baja bugs . I do love the bugeyed kits in general though, had numerous toy beetles as a kid with that front end, and a Tamiya Blitzer beetle (bought about 10 years ago when they re-released it as i coveted it since i was about 10...) always wanted to build a real one of that, as its was more my era than the much more famous Tamiya sand scorcher that it borrowed the bodyshell from.

Seen broken down in Woolwich today. Wide rear tyres. Low front. loving the spinners on the front wheels The stance was really awesome, low front, weird shape and those wide meats out back, all contributed to a,car that would get a nod at any Retro Rides Gathering.

The Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric From Hayburner magazine... So Myers Manx dropped this bombshell on their Facebook page last night tagged ‘Introducing the first all-new Meyers Manx in nearly 60 years: the Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric. Nostalgia, electrified for the future.’ It will apparently come with two battery pack sizes, 20 kWh and 40 kWh, a 6 kW on-board charger and optional 60 kW DC fast-charging capability. Just like The buggy will stay rear-wheel drive, but it will come with two electric motors, one for each wheel. It will have a range of up to 300 miles (482 km) and the combined output of its two motors will be 202 horsepower and 240 pound-feet (325 Nm) of torque. The 20 kWh variant will get exactly half the range, 150 miles (241 km) and less powerful motors. Meyers Manx says it will unveil a prototype of the electric buggy at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 19. It also intends to launch a limited beta series of 50 vehicles in 2023, before commencing full production and customer deliveries one year later, with more details to be shared at a later date. They've still not announced the price tag.
