I was planning on lurking in the background a little longer but I need to cast my vote for option 1. I came here via grizz's truck & travel exploits (also lurking) and like everyone else I can't stop reading.

As always what a superb read. Initially seeing the 911 I did have my doubts but what a backstory to the car! You just cannot create that! The car itself is a story with all of its features and so on. The scenery there does look superb! As for the choices I say option 1 .

Merry Christmas Bruce
After all the self sacrifice in creating this epic tale for everyone, I believe you should choose the option that's easiest for yourself. I personally will be eternally grateful for either choice

I point worth considering is that at the rate you are going you are at risk of creating epic tales faster than you are reporting them! We could end up years behind. Thanks from me for sharing though, quite inspiring

I like cronywotzit stories too, unless it's one of those time-travelling saving-the-world-from-aliens being-your-own-great-grandad jobs, then jumping around is pretty much the order of business. Option one for me, and a merry chrimbo!

Just landed in Boston. Customs even let me through!
Just collecting my suitcase then got a few hours drive to where I'm staying. I'll try and add an update later tonight if the jet lag doesn't get me first?
Merry Christmas everyone.

Well, if you insist on sleeping sometimes and are unable to continue the Canada/Chicago saga at the same time you run another thread in real time about the latest car buying trip - it will have to be "Option 1" and finish the first trip, while we wait in suspense for the next chapter in the life of "Car Hunter" Bruce! (Sorry that I was part of the reason you were so busy!)

Happy Chrimbo Bruce. Love my thread what you got me, but I'm afraid you'll need to settle for something somewhat less gooder. Or buġġer all. Option 1 would be lovely, but as someone has already pointed out, whatever is easier for you would be best. I'm sure we can manage. Besides all this selflessness is getting a bit much.

Who knows maybe this latest trip out is to discuss the movie rights on this epic. I can't think of any plot theme that is missing from it. I mean, come on.... Superman! and now it's a Trilogy!
Whatever the decision on how the thread continues make sure that there is a tee shirt available. Or a limited edition patina'd and engraved dipstick wiper. - Well, beats a Herbie rides again lunch box - almost.

WOW! wow wow wow wow! I got shown this thread back in Nov, read up until about page 6 (which was all you'd done at the time) and I was blown away then. My mate who originally pointed it out to me, reminded me again a couple of day's before Christmas and I thought to myself... that's an hour or so of my Christmas day sorted then. Didn't expect it to be about 5 hours, some of which fell into Boxing day haha. Funny thing is, this was shown to me but days after discussing in a group chat how getting a 912 from the US would be cheaper than finding one over here/in Europe. You have done more than convince me of this. I, like you, have been sat here thinking about selling everything possible and just going for it. I should stop thinking about it really.... I don't even think you're crazy, or irrational, everything I've read so far seems perfectly acceptable in my eyes haha!! Ok, maybe I was like 'ASIF HE'S GETTING ANOTHER' on page 23... But it'd have been daft not to whilst you were over there right? I cannot wait to see the rest of the story, and the new adventure, and the build's for these 2 beautiful car's (I feel calling them car's doesn't do them justice mind) Also, it's good knowing that I'm not mad, and not the only one who gets the shape of the early 911... I looked at this picture for far too long And now I'm back to looking at it some more.
