I noticed that there is water in my Vauxhall Combos foot well.......
I haven't had time to have a look, but tomorrow i have wrangled a day off work and was going to try and solve it then.
Anyone on here know of this problem.....likely causes?
Its enough to make the carpet soggy but isn't enough to get my feet wet....but there is a good layer of water
Any ideas welcome before i take the front of my daily apart......many thanks in advance!!!

First thing is to check coolant level, make sure it isn't the heater matrix.
Clear the scuttle drains as if they clog water will get into the cabin.
Check around the brake servo, there is a weak seal on them.

Once had this on a corsa and couldn't find it anywhere until I visited a scrap yard.......
I knew water was coming in down the back of the dash bit couldn't see how. At the scrapers I kicked a broken screen out to find there's a gap in the bottom of the a piller where it joins to the bunkhead/scuttle panel. The join is actually located under the lower lip of the screen when it's installed. Capillary action was allowing the water to travel up the underside of the screen and down the bodywork pillar into the footwell. Recon car must have had a new screen fitted at some point and the seal hadn't closed the gap in the panel I cured it by sealing in from outside under the front lower edge of the screen with some silicone sealer. If I'd not seen the car without the screen installed I'd never have found the source of the leak

If it can be fixed with a hammer, then it must be an electrical fault

It will be coming in around the servo it's a known weak seal and you need to remove the servo to re seal it, it's not difficult to do but it is awkward

Yup. Servo seal very likely unless it's coolant, then you'll have the joy of the frankly ridiculous way they are plumbed together. (Actually not too bad to do but still ridiculous )
Silly modern cars.

I remove all the plastics, wiper motor, and remove the brake master but don't un-plumb it, remove the stupid crud blocked flaps, jetwash the scuttle clean, an then apply seam sealer over the servo plate seal, always worked, always been fine, never ever removed one. If advise this. Make sure you remove the carpet and sound deadening, the cords footwells hold a LOT of water.

You don't actually need to remove the servo, you can put a bead of silicone round the top and sides in situ and it keeps the water out - its exactly what i did with mine two years ago and its still dry...
