For Sale '99 Audi A6 2.8 30v quattro avant, with 7 seat option,owned by ourselves since March 2009, being totally reliable & having FSH up to then , serviced by myself & Mechanical Engineer friend ever since (who I’d trust more than any dealership ) Now just turned 196,000 miles, cambelt done just before I bought it , at approx 160,000 miles. It has a full service every year, & I decided to have the gearbox oil changed this year ,bearing in mind the mileage, also changed the rocker cover gaskets in July , again from a wear & tear point of view. Front wings have started to show signs of corrosion , included in the sale are 2 rust free wings ready to put on the car , which just require spraying. Santorin Pearl Blue, Cream heated Leather, Bose Stereo , wood inlays, tiptronic 5 speed automatic transmission with steering wheel switch controls. MOT until July 2016. This would make a cracking winter run about. My parents one did 285,000 miles before they got rid and it was still going strong!

I can't believe no one has bought this yet...
Aside from the wings, are there any issues at all? Any leaks or anything? What are the tyres like?

Hi tyres a good,(can measure if you want?)no leaks , slight blow from one of the exhaust when cold but its been like that for a couple of years and not got any worse, drivers window squeaks a little when going up... |

Hi,been reading your ad and and are there any squeaks/knocks from the front suspension and I see it's last cambelt change was about 6yrs and 40k miles ago,whilst I'm interested in your motor for my own peace of mind I would get a new belt fitted so is your mechanic able to give me a quote for the work if I was take it off your hands.

No known knocks or squeaks from front suspension , as I'm aware, they are prone to control arms going , we did both front lower control arms & drop links last July , I fully agree regarding the cambelt ; as regards my friend completing the job , I could ask him but he's in the middle of moving house so is up the wall at present , so unlikely to get done anytime soon , the cambelt could be considered in the negotiation , should you wish to go further Many thanks chris |

Lots of car for the money. I'm heading into winter for the first time with a rwd daily (530d). Part of me wonders if I should have one of these instead, at least to see me through until Spring.

Struggled to get a decent picture , with the rubbish weather, the rust hasn't broken through the paint yet but it has started to bubble , as mentioned there's a spare set of wings to go with the car Cheers Chris  |
