So after a couple of posts on the Ginetta forums i finally get a new tail for the G15.  It's just dropped on at the moment as the hinge holes on the body are not great   The box that came with car got a bit of a clean and i dropped the transmission oil.Apart from the smell, which was rank,the inside was pretty clean so I will use it for thetime being.  Normally the front had a little rod that holds the bonnet on,mine seems to have a set of "custom" hinges,which i quite like.  We are definitely going to need some wider arches on the front,the search for some GRP arches, to graft in, starts.  |

What an awesome little car! I don't think its fugly at all... It's a matter of opinion,it's already been christened Kermit by the kids. It looks a lot better with a tail on it. |

Having owned and raced both a G15 and a Clan I can only say I've kept and continued to own and race 2 Clans with a third being built with BMW power. G15 is prettier but unfortunately the chassis totally lacks any rigidity which affects the handling a great deal as does having front and rear suspension types from different cars. You'll also need to get U/J's fitted to your ankles so you can use the pedals! Seriously best of luck with the G15 I'm sure you will enjoy it but you could have more fun with an ugly Clan. This wasnt a dig at Clans i think they are a nice shape. I had a nose under the chassis, good news is its in excellent nick also some one has been messing with the welder and sheet steel as it has a number of gussets and plates also hoping the cage with tighten it up a bit. I am going to move the chassiis rail outso i can get the seat lower. I was going to floor mount a pedal box but i had a good nose under the dash and someone has put some spacers in and fiddled with the peddles so they are now halfway sensible,so no Uj ankles needed |

I fitted a set of wide arches that I got direct from Ginetta. Maybe someone still has the moulds. I'll try and find a picture of mine to post.

Slight update, a BMW K1100 has given its life to the cause and all the various bits have been sent North to the mechanical genius that is Clark Dawson to be turned into the beating heart of the G15.(pics to follow)
Also got a NOS rear screen for the old girl from a guy Bristol.

Do you know any of the history of this car before you owned it? Did you get as far as splitting the body from the chassis?
