A few years ago I found this old rear valance (?) in a shed and decided I liked it. I dug it out again recently and fancy hanging it on the wall because it's old, battered and weathered and my missus and I are a bit odd like that.
For no reason in particular I would like to know the vehicle that it used to belong to. I spent a little while searching pictures of various British made pre 63 vans, the closet thing I found so far was the rear valance on Bedford CA vans, but it's too long and the shape of the plate recess is slightly wrong. I've no idea how to search for information on a plate without a vehicle manufacturer either, is there a way?
The only clues that may help (probably not) is that it was found in what seemed to be a small 1960's newspaper distribution facility, and was found alongside a steering column that appeared to be from a 60s Vauxhall of some sort (may be a red herring)
