On my first night in Canada recently, when stopping over with camerashy for a while, he took me to a friends workshop where he happens to have a 616. It's a work in progress which involves MX5 (Miata) running gear and custom suspension/brakes. Lovely, lovely thing and I thought I'd post it up here as inspiration for anyone wondering how these awesome cars can look:  If I hadn't just bought a new project (from Mr Camerashy, the main reason I was the other side of the world for a few weeks) I'd be sorely tempted by this car myself. Picture of the red one is a series one. The 616 was the petrol equivalent of the rotary Rx 2. There are at least 6 of them in the uk. The OP's one is a later model, series five with pointy bonnet and wider wings.

yeah its seized up so wont budge really, there are more than enough pictures to see the car, still trying to locate the keys to it also, I'm definatly open to offers on this

You are gonna need to put some effort in for your 3k... With the current pictures and effort I'd offer £600.

Proper photos of the usual rust ares please Bottom of doors Sills Rear arches, seem like they have issues in the past, so are they all crunchy and full of filler? Bottom corners of windscreen. They all had a built in water leak there Front chassis legs. They rust where the crossmember bolts on No more pictures of the interior, that isn't prone to rust  Thanks Johnny |

sounds like the lad is doing his best, i would suggest going to see it cos it clearly has some rust problems and you're never gonna fully evaluate it by photograph
