Sapphire cosworth (2wd for giggles) or e36 M3
Both are just about obtainable for now but rising sharply
Best women pulling car ive had though was a 70s yellow beetle convertible. It had a roof like a tramps hat (not pretty but you stayed dry) and the registration said ANAL lol

£1k on an E36 328i cab - must be totally original and fsh £2k on either a Merc CLK or BMW Z3 or even an early MX5 - again, original and fsh.
All dirt cheap right now and sure fire climbers - although it'll take a few years. Also think about E36 318i's, good original examples will only climb in price.
£3k for something to have fun in.
Low risk strategy, probably low returns, but covers all bases.
The problem, storage.

Now shamelessly I was drawn to put in a personal injury claim against him (mostly out of spite for ruining the car that used to get us ALOT of female attention!) So you are admitting to making a fraudulent, or a least "mostly" fraudulent, claim? It is coming to the back end of the claim and its about time to think about what to spend it on How about spending it on things that assist your life to be as before, such as extra physiotherapy or household aids if your hand does not operate in the way which it did before? So any ideas would be great! Give it back. Initially I didn't feel comfortable doing so due to the whole 'compensation culture' but after loosing out on work initially and after corrective surgery it mad sense too. Thanks for the advice anyway..

Mk1 golf gti, ok so I'm biased. 6k won't get you a show winner but a decent useable classic that's climbing in value daily. Don't worry about putting miles on one, just get the most solid one you can find and enjoy

Shouldnt fetch anywhere near 6k but find the best original mk1 saxo vts you can and store it, most mid to late 90's hot hatches are pretty affordable atm and will only go up in value as there numbers decrease

How about a series landrover? About to be all over the media due to the defender going out of production, parts are cheap as chips, and there are still bargains to be had. Buy an ex military lightweight. Little bit different, Parts are abundant, you can strip them to a chassis and rebuilt them again in a weekend. Buy one that needs welding for a grand, paint it green with a roller, and sit on it till next summer. Tidy ones are going for 6-8 grand now, so I reckon they will be around 10-15 by next summer.

Recently noticed that Nova SRs in unmolested condition are going for strong money now, they can only go up.
