Basic Spec:
1990 (G)
Tornado Red
Manual windows
No power steering
No central locking
181k miles on the shell
Approx 100-110k miles on the engine
MOT Until March/April 2016 (will check)
Good bits:
It goes very well and makes a real nice noise
BC coilovers, around 8/9 months old, still move freely and are both height and dampening adjustable
15x7 Azev A's with 195/50 Toyo Proxes T1-R's, which are about a month old
Zender rear spoiler
G60 front brakes, 280mm disks (disks and pads brand new in March)
2" Stainless steel exhaust with de-cat and centre box removed, so still has the rear silencer and unknown backbox - Doesn't drone at all on long journeys and sounds amazing on full throttle
Very good condition interior, ultraviolet front and rear seats with blue piping, decent condition with no rips or tears but a small amount of sagging on the drivers seat
Paint is generally very good, I believe it's had a blowover in the last few years, still very shiny and glossy.
Virtually no rust on the entire car, underneath is solid
Arches are cut/hammered flat
Had loads of bits replaced when the engine went in in Feb/March time:
New wishbones
Front wheel bearings
ARB links/bushes
Ball joints
Passenger side track rod and end
Decat
Centre section
Probably a lot more but struggling to remember..
Not so good bits:
The pulley doesn't have a huge amount of clearance from the chassis leg (common problem on mk2 VR6's. This means when you take a left corner at very high speed the pulley catches on the chassis leg. (I believe a solid front engine mount would stop the engine tilting enough to stop it catching. Or the engine can be lifted and the chassis leg hammered/ground down)
Rear disks could do with changing soon
The passenger door has 2 bad bits. There is a 5p size bit of paint been chipped off from a friends door hitting it, this also left a slight dent.
And an approx 8 inch scratch at the bottom of the door
There is another 5p size bit of paint chipped off on the rear quarter by the rear light (Can see this in the third picture)
The arch trim lips have been cut, not a hugely tidy job but not noticeable unless you're looking underneath them.
Headlining is sagging
Rev counter doesn't work (almost impossible to get mk2 clocks rev counter to work with a vr6)
So in summary it's a generally clean car that goes and stops very well. Just needs small bits of tidying up to be perfect. I've probably made it sound worse than it is but I like to be honest, and I'm also sure there's lots of bits I've missed off.
Looking for £3000ono, might be open to swaps/PX's but would prefer cash.
Can provide more pictures/info if requested
