for the first time ever i can comment in a post thus: JUST got me one. its a white diseasel chugga. its vile. VILE. worth getting under it and having a good poke around at the suspension to see what can be done... hydralic or not, you SHOULD be able to do something, although you might end up losing the hydralics. Otherwise, do the equivalent of channelling it, raise the suspension seats UP, therefore DROPPING the body (imagine dropping the hydralics then?!) matt black, slot mags, some graffiti/stencils (white only). Defo worth it. cant really channel it, top of the front suspension is less than an inch from the underside of the bonnet...

Running it on low will just destroy it very quickly and as other(s) have said don't even think about draining some of the fluid (LHM) out of it as this also does brakes and steering. The red light of death wil come up on the dashboard when the LHM is low and if you've ever tried driving one with non-power steering you'll never want to again I promise. Put some biggish rims on and do the matt black thing, my old BXs never fail to impress people when you operate the suspension in car parks etc.

Right, Apart from less Retro styling and perhaps more weight. I'm Dieing to know if there is any reason why a Xantia is any worse than a BX?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

FFS read!!! The height corrector is attached to the anti roll bar with a clamp, twisting the clamp adjusts the ride height front and rear are sererate so both ends need to be tweaked. Be warned a fraction of a twist will move the height from right up to right down. Mark the roll bar and clamp before you start. Loosen the 11mm bolt slightly and tap it around using a punch. Loosen it too far and it will go all the way in a heartbeat so be carefull. Adjusting the corectors in this way does not alter the ride as such as the leg pressures are the same as usual just less fluid in them as you're tricking the system.
