That really is good. Love the vision that has gone into this.

I love te concept, the front works well, but the rear proportions don't quite work for me as the rear 1/4's look too heavy and the swage line is sitting with quite a bit if rake, yet the sills are level. But I can't fault the level of workmanship that has gone in to it.

works for me.
One of the best "hybrid" type custom cars I've seen in yonks. The reason it works in my opinion is because the two individual cars are quite recognisable but not too radically styled so the roof area taken away from it's origins looks like a dozen other cars of the era and doesn't scream BMW! Then the Volvo body is nicer styled than the later models and It's got a classy look which could quite feasably have been a two door coupe from the factory. It takes the wedge section quite well and doesn't seem too contorted to fit the Bee Em parts underneath.

Cool project - thanks for sharing
I only know one Harri from Finland - campaigned in a historic racing series with a yellow whale - pretty sure that's not you so now I know two Harri's from Finland with good taste

Builder says it's takes 10 months including 2 months "nose picking". Today he changed back socks, so rear is now lower. With is just same what's the original Volvo is. Trunk lit is narrowed and upper parts of rear wheel well's are made wider, because backlit seam has to match rear window.

At first sight i thought 'wow that looks amazing', but the more I look at it the lines just don't quite work for me. Having said that its an incredable piece of work made with skills i could only ever dream of. I think these sort of cars work better as full on customs, rather than trying too look like a lightly modded factory car like what youve never seen before. like.

That works remarkably well, looks more futuristic than the E36 it is based on.
Kinda has a retro concept feel over it, I like it.

Nope, doesn't do it for me. But the skills this builder must have are just out of the world.

That's amazing, some real coachbuilding skills there. The fact he chose black and kept the design so clean is that not only does it look cool in a 60s GT type way but it also underlines the quality of the build.
What I see in this is a modern take on a coach built 60s GT, think Bristol, Mulliner Park Ward Bentley Continental Coupes or Zagato custom builds.

Love the concept, love the stance, love the sheer understated skill that went into it, love the fact that he had the cojones to paint it black, love everything about it apart from those godawful swedish spec bumpers, but even that wouldn't prevent me from giving it a loving home!

A great concept, perfectly executed. The 164 styling works so much better on the BMW for me, that it makes me wonder what other past designs would work better on a modern car. Or could, if such care and skill was given to combine them as has been done here. My only reservation is the wheel choice - with so much put into the car, then just throw some generic alloys on it..?!!
