Description lifted from my eBay advert, I hope that's OK
1991 Honda Legend 3,2 V6 Coupé
Transmission - Automatic
MOT - December 2015
Keys - 3 sets
Previous Owners: 4
Paperwork included: Detailed and Comprehensive Service History
The Honda Legend Coupe. What an awesome machine. These were designed to compete with the likes of the BMW 8-Series, Mercedes SEC-Series and Grand Touring exotica such as the Porsche 928, Maserati Bi-Turbo and so on. Honda literally pulled out all the stops and created their 'ultimate' model in terms of specification, luxury and performance. How well this thing still drives is a testament to the engineering and build quality (it's like a Rolls-Royce) although sadly it wasn't well received by the public at the time. The reason being due to the fact that a) premium badges could be bought for the same money, and b) people simply did not realise how capable these cars are.
Due to the above, Honda Legend Coupes are now extremely rare in the UK, especially the 2-door variant. In fact, according to the "how many left" website, there are just eight 1991 Legend Coupes currently on the road in the UK. This makes it a fantastically rare and quirky classic and an ideal investment opportunity.
This car has a very high specification, including:
Electric doors (self-closing)
Electric seatbelt presenters for user ease (no reaching around!)
Electrically adjustable full leather orthapaedic seats with two-stage memory
4x Electric windows (inc. rear quarterlights for rear passenger comfort)
Electric tilt/slide glass sunroof with retractable shade
Electric and heated mirrors
Electric boot release
Remote Central Locking
Powerful hifi system, littered with speakers and featuring RDS, electric aerial and so on
Deep pile carpets
Digital automatic climate control
Cruise control
Powerful NSX-derived 3,2 V6 motor
Factory smoked windows all round
Condition is good overall, especially given that it is close to 25 years old.
The interior is immaculate with very little visible wear. It hasn't been smoked in and the atmosphere in the cabin is dry, clean, does not smell and is very comfortable.
The body is good for the year but would benefit from a little bit of tlc at some point in the future by the new owner. There is some small areas of rust bubbling under paint around the rear arches and some minor micro-blistering on the bonnet. That said, it polishes up very well and looks handsome on the road, especially next to boring modern cars!
Mechanically everything is great, the suspension and geometry is extremely accurate with perfect tracking and no worrying noises, knocks or clunks. The brakes and steering feel factory fresh and the engine and transmission operate faultlessly.
It has covered 94,000 miles from new and drives superb. The ride is silent and brisk, with excellent handling. In fact it drives as well as any S-Class Mercedes or 7-Series BMW. It is hard to describe just how well this thing drives, I defy anyone not to be impressed - These really are highly underrated and very capable cars.
The legend is a lovely place to be and all the electrics work, the ride is sublime and the creature comforts add to the luxury experience making any journey an event!
If you haven't driven a Legend, you are in for a treat - This is Honda engineering at it's absolute finest.
For overseas buyers I can assist with shipping or meet you at an airport. I can confidently say this Legend would get you back to France or Germany in comfort and without issue!
