Model: Mitsubishi Starion EX
Year: 1987
Mileage: 94,000 miles
MOT: November 2015
Location: Wirral
I'm selling my Starion.
I've done over 4,000 miles in it since November last year. I didn't drive it in the rain, and put it away in my garage December and brought it out last month. I avoided driving it with grit on the road as it would dissolve. MOT in November failed it on seat belt (it had a fray which prevented it recoiling) and a bulb, it passed the following day after I replaced the belt.
It had been in a garage since 2003 to 2014. It has been waxoyled underneath, but there is a bit of rust on the back of the sills, one small hole. It has no massive rust problems, there are a few paint chips and dents. The body is in excellent condition. There's no weld blobs or filler anywhere. I can't list the exact locations so it's really best if you come and have a proper good look at the car if you are interested. I bought it because the body was in good nick, and no, I didn't get it for £200.
I spent over £1000 in the space of a week getting it back on the road; replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump, alternator, brakes pads/pipes/hoses and a new stainless steel exhaust system. All parts were bought from Mitsubishi, exhaust was made and fitted by CyBox.
I only need to replace the front air dam and have the wing 'repaired' - there is a crease on the arch which were both caused by the recovery truck driver pulling it onto the truck.
Please don't message me if you are a penniless idiot or a second hand car critic, I don't have the time, thanks - only message if you have the money and intention to buy the car, I'm not interested if you might want it and then you get messed around by another seller/dog/astrology/universe. I don't need the space or money, and can sit it in my garage for however long. Offers accepted with a valid reason why you don't think it's worth it
