Got a fair bit of drawing done yesterday and a couple more bits pretty much finished. Needed a 35mm shaft with the end turned down to 25mm ,but with it offset by 5mm from centre. Not a problem, but I don't have a four jaw chuck for the cnc lathe. So, a bit of workings out,and it's all tickety boo with a three jaw chuck. These cnc power chucks have serrated jaws, the pitch of which is 1.5mm. So, easy like a Sunday morning. Set the jaws to clamp a 40mm dia piece, tighten two jaws. Move the third jaw in 5 serrations ,(7,5mm), and then a clamp a 35mm bar in it. Tell the lathe your bar size is 45mm. Press go and stand back.... Job done. Love it when a plan works out..

This is for the magical mystery tool! I figured out how to make the triple rotor eccentric shaft about two years ago and made a dummy/ test one up to see if I could handle the machining. Want to get. Body work finished before I do any more engine work. It's just too much of a distraction, hahaha. Did buy in the proper material for the shaft last month though.... This was development work on the shaft

A couple more bits done for the growing pile that is still, referred to as the MMT ,( magical mystery tool) Decided whilst that first eccentric shaft would do the job, version two would be better. With added throw.... Roughing out in the mill Roughing out complete, just needs to be finished .25mm throw as opposed to the 5mm throw on the first one

Seeing I had arranged to meet somebody who lives closer to work than home,I stayed on a bit as it was pointless to drive home, only to drive all the way back a couple of hours later. So, bit of skip diving yielded this,an old positioning plate. I will have a bit of that. Cleft a bit off and into the mill to add some lightness Added lightness and sexy curves to both sides before standing on head. It's head, not mine... Back in to finish off curvy goodliness....

Speaking of curvy goodliness,Mrs Bravo has been making some hints that I need to get in shape. Not quite certain what part she doesnt quite get. Keep on reminding her that round is a shape. Doesn't want to have it either, that I have a body of a God. Well, Buddah is a God, is he not ? Any way ,I heeded her well meaning advice and got me a new toy. Seeing I really don't see the point of paying over the top for something I don't really want and doubt I will use that much, I found this not so little gem on the bay of Flea.... Made by Keith Black's cousin Roger, who now lives in China. Not so sure about me being the only thing needing to lose a few kilo's , this thing is right porky too.....Going to have a little play tonight......

Got to admit I don't have a bloody clue as to what you are doing, but I'm seriously absorbed in whatever it is!

If it can be fixed with a hammer, then it must be an electrical fault

Oh, well, it's obvious now that you're making a tamping wopple for a Keyley trunnion - after all, what else could it be?
