The only thing I cant find and they may not even do them is an inner sill profile, if I could get hold of them I'd be laughing!

As for doing the bottom half a different colour, a lot of cars in the 90's uesd vinyl on the lower panels. Mybe that would be easier and cheaper than re spraying?

I don't mind painting, I've done a fair bit of it, it was more about not trying to match 25 year old paint.

Just been having a little play with the electrics today, just to see what still works! Pleased to say other than the blower only working on max, everything else is in good working order. I'd like to keep the factory radio/cassette but I don't have the code for it, can Ford still get this for me?

is it not stamped on the body of the unit? sometimes it is You are correct!! This poses a dilema! I had kind of convinced myself that the woodgrain Kenwood would look great and with the added addition of a cd changer, more practical too. But I do have a hard wired fm transmitter which coupled to the Ford radio (and the Kenwood) would give me an mp3 connection which may be better than having a cd changer anyway? All sounds so trivial when theres about a week of welding to do on it! But I promised the wife I would get the last bit's of our house finished before starting on the car and playing with little bits and pieces under the rader keeps me happy!!

I had a cd player in my 02 mondeo, I pulled it out and got a tape deck for £20 from the scrappers, its ford and was fitted to early models of my mondeo, I use a cassette adaptor and have an mp3 player connected to it, its old school but I love having my 90s tunes playing this way, will put up a pick later. btw I love those old ford stereos, I had one in my mk4 escort ghia it had the separate amp, was a good sound with uprated speakers.

Had 5 minutes this afternoon so thought I would have a play around with some old wheels! First up is a 16 inch Peugeot 307 wheel with a 205 55 16 tyre. Then we have a 14" 7j et16 speedline. Ideally fitted with a 205 55 14 tyre and finally team dynamics something or other, currently fitted with a 195 50 15, but would probably be better with a 205 55 15. Need to bare in mind it will be a hell of a lot lower!

Looking like the steels the way to go, Ive just checked and a 205-65-14 tyre has a very close radius to the 205 55 16, so I may just stick one on a Speedline and see how it looks.

Defo the speedlines Get the right tyre n low Ness right and it will look spot on Its finding the right tyre. I'm quite happy with a bit of tyre wall, but I'd like a 205 width and unless you get up towards 70 profile they are hard to find.
