Summer's here (well down South at least!) and as East Anglia hit a barmy 21C this afternoon tops were coming off everywhere. So for those of us in the sunshine today with their tops off, show us your topless shots (careful now, nobody wants to see pastey moobs if you were thinking 'topless shot hey?') It's going to be even warmer tomorrow so get your topless pics in.

3.30am in the middle of quite a storm and miles from home. I don't particularly subscribe to only enjoying topless cars in fair weather. All year round enjoyment is where it's at.

This was taken in December, I'm not just a fairweather open topper! The E30's far more exposed than the Del Sol, however that excuse is never going to wash after Mystery Machine's nocturnal heroics.

Only drive this with the top up if my wife's feeling the chill or it's lashing down You're from the North East. I've been out in the Toon in January when there's a icy easterly coming in off the North Sea and the wind chill is like minus 12 and you lads still walk about in T shirts like it's July. I felt cold wearing a shirt, jumper and a jacket! That's one cool car by the way, US metal is really growing on me these days.

You would be considered subnormal round here driving with the top up, unless it was snowing - and even then...
This is my first convertible and I'm hooked! It's a totally different driving experience, and I'm a big fan.

... Only drive this with the top up if my wife's feeling the chill or it's lashing down Good choice I used to do a 200 mile round trip every weekend in a Cortina convertible (the windscreen was very similar shape/angle as yours) - found I stayed dry when it was raining as long as I kept the speed over 55mph The notorious hot Cortina heater also helped I really need to start scanning some 35mm slides & prints...

I'm afraid the most recent convertible I owned I only drove about 30 yards underground before I took the engine out of it. So here's one from the archives...

I once managed to freeze the roof inside the boot of my Saab. Think that was roof down at -2 degrees! Anyway...

A decent heater and heated seats makes this great fun to drive, wrapped up in a warm coat in the winter, or late at night in the summer. There's just something really good fun about driving a car with the roof down where everyone else expects it to be up!

One from the archive (since I don't currently have anything deroofable), but I like the photo so I'm damn well going to post it anyway. It would look like this if I still owned it...
