it was too much for the road tbh, the chap was going to use it on the road though haha he was very happy didnt complain at all and paid full asking price

must be the only one as ive never seen a rwd ka not much else you can do with a ka lol There's loads of RWD/4WD KA's about! This one is probably the best  There's also one with a Supercharged 3.0 Vauxhall V6 knocking about... Not surprised this didn't hang about long, great performance per £ |

i think the street/facelift ka looks better - somone remarked it drove similar to the fiesta xr2 from back in the day

Engine swap is least of issues, the car will be 'deregistered' as it's failed the 8-point DVLA Redically Altered Vehicel rules and required an IVA tested with Q-Registration before it can legally return to the road. |

Then once Q plated....virtually anything goes mods wise thereafter as what points system applies to a sum of unknown parts ..however its all elementary with that KA as its sold and presumably the chap is a happy customer with the value for money 380bhp

so why isnt the rwd ka above q plate then..... as far as I'm aware Q plates are for vehicles that are so modified you cant tell they're original age
as i had to register a car from germany and they said if they couldnt find the age it would go in a q plate

so why isnt the rwd ka above q plate then..... as far as I'm aware Q plates are for vehicles that are so modified you cant tell they're original age as i had to register a car from germany and they said if they couldnt find the age it would go in a q plate 'cause none of the mods are declared - earlier it says it's still registered as a 1.3 or whatever, hasn't been MOTd since 2012, and it's the owners' risk if they want to push ahead and drive an unMOTd, uninsured car on the road (I mean, what's one more uninsured driver in Leicester*). It's also up to the new owner if they want to put it on the road - not like the seller has misrepresented it. It says Track Day and that pretty much implies you find the sport to suit the car, then have fun. Personally my fear with any of these things would be buying a car with stolen bits in it. One of my friends in the Borders ended up with the 1.8 CVH in his Escort being removed by the Police as it was pinched (not by him) and got traced to his car. Moot points now as it's sold and whatever the buyer got, they probably knew what they were buying into and making their own mind up about which risks to take regarding road use. *seriously, though, don't bloody do it. |

you don't have to declare the modes until the car is actually on the road tho do you? and as the car hasnt been on the road as sutch you would just put it through a vic check or somthing to see if its been converted properly ect i would imagine  |

Jeez, what's with the overkill on this? The seller has clearly advertised it as a 'trackday weapon' and has specified no mot or tax. It has also sold. Why on earth keep on banging on about a bloody BIVA? Have you done this with all the other heavily modified cars on here? No? Thought not.

Personally, I'd just leave it at that and insure it as a 1.3 (presuming that's what's on the log book). And no the MOT tester won't say anything - its not what you know, its who you know |

It's funny how some threads on cars swerving into BIVA land get loads of compliments on the work and end vehicle produced, whilst others go straight into random people screaming BIVA!, it's a menace! Think of the nuns!
A lot of cars on here would require a BIVA if done to the letter of the law. Bulkhead mods, tunnel enlarging, 4 linking, etc
If you are not adding anything constructive to the thread, and the vehicle in question doesn't affect your life in anyway, Its safe to say the majority of us want you to STFU with your silly whinging.

i think people are confusing complaining with actual general interest I'm going to change a engine in a vehicle and it might require a few mods to fit so i was wondering what the correct procedure was.....or am i not aloud to ask questions here....  |
