Thought i'd better get a build started on here having bought this in september, it's a honda civic shuttle gl 1.4 dual carb and for the time being - auto No huge progress yet but i have done the following so far, new plates, de-wipered rear, tokico hatchback shocks with shamelessly cut coilover sleeves. I have a set of extreme offset steels from my old hatch to get on it shortly (15x8 et0) Have plenty of pics of other retro stuff ive owned for those interested (mk2 golf, clio williams, e30s e36s, mk2 escorts, more hondas and my brothers renault 5s)

Some cracking cars you've had. Big fan of the Civic Shuttles, they just lend them selves really well to a good set of wheels and some lows. Look forward to seeing where it goes

Great thread so far. I'd love a shuttle. My old tutor has a civic of the same era as a race car. Nightmare to find bits for. He brought the last set of valve collets from Honda that exist officially haha

Haha well that's true. I love your EG civics too but saying that not much of your previous collection isn't cool. I have a 1999 Subaru Justy so parts are luckily easily available as they share 99% of the parts with their FWD sister the swift.

If you want cheap but decent lows, EG/EK coilovers will fit if you get a pair of EG suspension forks, and weld some washers onto the rear lower shock mounts to account for the different fork widths/crush tube diameter. Then swap the front coils out with some 9" 500lb ones from Rally Design and it will ride 'beautifully'.

Might try some of those springs on my current setup though!

I had them on my Sedan and it drove perfectly.
The guy who bought it ran the 4GUK club and said it rode nicest out of any lowered EF he'd ever driven.

It was just to make the EG rear coilies fit. EG ones have an M14 mounting bolt whereas EFs have an M12, so it was just a case of welding some penny washers with an M12 hole in over the M14 holes.
