Remember that crack that I got on my rear valance back when I first lowered the bus back in April? Well even with the fog light removed and fixed with superglue had nail varnish it didn't stand up to scraping. (That was the most affected point when going over peaks/ drops after speed bumps) It soon turned to this with a chunk missing the right hand side ... The way the exhaust dripped dirt onto it bugged me too and with it gone I'd gain about 16mm to lower it more. So it was down to maplin's to buy their answer to dremel which the advanced kit with lcd speed control and importantly a flexible drive shaft is reduced from £50 to £30 at the moment. I whipped it out and in no time at all the valance was chopped out and the exhaust tip polished with the polishing attachments... The U cut out where the centre post was will be smoothed when it's in the body shop for the dent repair at the start of September.

I was just thinking, it would look better with the valance removed, yep, it does lol. Nice work, like this wagon!

Blimey I have a few days away from Retro Rides and my thread becomes a hive of activity. Cheers all. As reward for people actually reading the thread have a cheeky Ms paint mockup. Possibility of it being made reality is based on pending body shop quote.

PS I'll be at RRG on Sunday for those going, I'll try and blag into the "Interesting" car park or maybe along side the catering vans. "I'm an ice cream van honest guv" If not i'll be in the "normal" car park.

fr€$h&m1nt¥ - must say I was impressed with this in the show filed; looking very good. Plus as I was parked next to it on the Sunday it made life much easier when trying to find my car in the downpour... I Would have had a better look round, but at the time I was soaked through and making a poor attempt to change into a dry top, in the rain, in the middle of a field.....

Cheers Maxxxer it means a lot coming from someone with a "proper" car like a midget instead of a lounge on wheels like mine I did have a look round my car to see if I had anything I could put over your roof to protect the interior from rain but my tarpaulin was at home and didn't know how to put your roof up

Ah thanks for that fr€$h&m1nt¥ - in hindsight I should perhaps have left the roof up, but it looks better with the roof down... Beneficially one of my mates left his hoodie in the car on his way up to the hill, so it came in quite handy as a mop for the interior I did have to forcibly disconnect the stereo due to water ingress, and it seemed to be flashing away like Blackpool illuminations - given the Volvo incident I didn't want to have to deal with that on the journey home. Suffice to say it was a quiet (music free, exhaust was still loud...) return journey.
