This is where the existing cable is locked in to the motor... It looks like removal of the motor to access the rear of the white plastic L bracket is the only way to free the cable before locking a new one in place.

And a mommy rhino decided we were too close to her baby and decided to push us back. Can’t be bothered with the bus at the moment. I’m just trying to get down the snag list and it’s getting bigger.

^^ You made the classic newbie error there. Using a Nissan on a Safari, hunting or not,is just totally wrong. You see, for an African hunting safari you need a Toyota. Everybody knows that. Even mummy Rhinos. What you need is High Impact African Culling Equipment...HIACE for short.....😂😂😂

My plan was infiltration in the ranks to cause confusion - shaped like a giant rhino and coloured like a zebra I thought I’d pick them off whilst in a situation of disarray. Sadly didn’t work out for either of us!

Back to more positive news. I’m making good progress on the seat hardware and the base mounts should be with me soon. One done, one to do...

I know it’s too new to advertise here but I’m putting the elgrand up for sale. New seats will be fitted beforehand. £5995 ono if anyone here is interested. I’m spending too much time saying no to this... ... and doing this... ... and this ... ... to think about doing stuff to the elgrand.

A test fit of the seat brackets and all looking good before I remove and repaint. It feels bittersweet putting finishing touches to a car I’m selling!

Bit of a common colour scheme 😋 It’s funny I seem to see the combo everywhere since I took my wrap off! Passenger seat fitting is complete. The new owners will get a pair of virgin seats!

All the stereo kit removed, most of the original panels refitted, and both bucket seats fitted. Just need to fit the middle seat back in, fix the sliding door, and give it a good clean before it’s ready to find a new home.

The RH toplines are now removed so I can clean them up ready to sell. A set of four Kia Sportage wheels fitted instead, they’re direct 5x114.3 fitment rather than the need for adaptors with the RH toplines and I wanted to sell the bus in as “normal” state as possible. Typically one of the rear tyres was worn right down on the inside (the opposite side to the one that gave way in August) so had a brand new pair of tyres fitted to the front wheels. Jobs left to do prior to sale... Fix sliding door Fit foam and carpet where I removed the original foam / carpet for amps / speakers Fit middle row middle seat Fit boot opening switch Give her a full wash inside and out

Those Kia wheels don't look too bad on the Elgrand.

Those Kia wheels don't look too bad on the Elgrand. Yeah look better than I thought considering they’re an inch narrower than the toplines and sit deeper still on the rear because the adaptors are now removed. I do have a pair of 20mm spacers that I would fit if I was keeping it that I’ll include in the sale of the bus.

Oh and the rhino scrape? It polished out by hand using menzerna heavy cut compound and a microfibre.
