Looking at japfest info for work, Caught a glimpse of something! So big it’s always photobombing photos / videos. The Acty should be there this year so hoping it will be party to it’s own photos because it’s too small to sneak into others. What research were you doing? Having a trade stand there?

Back from Syco Graphics this evening with its new subtle race side flashes applied. I chose glitter whites to blend in with standard paint as much as possible and the 23 is embossed, they hide even more in the sun but stand out enough in the shade. Possibly not noticeable at all as I flash past people. When you’re racing at 4 but you’re a prom chauffeur at 8... I’ve also had a new gloss black sun strip and a spare boot spoiler in gloss black to fit in place of current one.

A couple of snag list items ticked off for the Elgrand - new front plate... ... and middle driver’s side seat fitted back in now I have the correct cover. Longest part of the job was finding the slider that was hiding right tucked away in the corner of a garage shelf. I need to find out the arm rest and head rest covers.

I am a big fan of subtle, and though in the pic the graphics look REALLY subtle, perhaps they show a bit better in person.
I like the van alot.....really nice results!

Been a while since I’ve been in the party bus thread! Suzi is for sale... rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123182085452Which means the bus is a daily again and I get to tinker with general niggles at lunch time. First thing is to fix the cable for the near side sliding door. Panel pulled off treasure is found! Sadly don’t appear to be rare or valuable and I just hope they don’t act as tarot cards for the bus based on their names! It seems the cable is supposed to run through this white plastic enclosure circled in blue ... ... and along this tube... This is the place where the cable enters the interior on the near side which is all fine so this will help me to check the correct route for the offside.... It looks like the whole interior panel needs to come off for proper access to where the cable needs to lead to so I’ll put my tools in my bus and work on it over a few days when I get chance.

Suzi sold for £100.
A net profit of £1470 from petrol savings over ten months even with insurance and road tax factored in when comparing 55mpg minimum 1.1 litre Maruti engine with 23mpg at best 3.5 litre Nissan engine.
I really do need to use it or lose it in terms of the Elgrand now, enjoy the luxury and sounds, and try to forget about the £10 extra a day it costs me to drive compared to something more frugal.

Always a difficult equation to try square up. Yours is different but non believers often challenge my 5.7 litre V8 value for money proposition based on only fuel consumption They forget pure pleasure, functionality, free road tax, very cheap insurance etc etc. But..... Imagine a new project to work on 😈
