For sale: The Mighty Benz! Found absolutely cracker of an MX-5. Here goes: 1990 Mercedes 300SE The good: Runs on LPG and Petrol. Always starts on the button New wings Comes with spare chrome for the rear bumper Has service kit for the box, haven't got round to that Just been serviced and adjusted New brakes (including new caliper and abs cable) Lovely leather interior with heated seats No rust (a few very minor bubbles) 5 good tyres, all on original alloys, no damage to these Bad bits: Done 220k miles (but doesn't feel it) Very occasionally stalls on either fuel MOT is due middle of next month Asking price £2000 ONO    |

Hello,
Do you have any interior pics? Were there any advisories on the last MOT? DO you know when the LPG system was fitted and what type it is? And also when it stalls does it start up again?
Sorry for all the questions, but this could be the answer to my prayers :-)

Hi, I certainly do! It's got the cream leather interior.
Will try and get a picture tomorrow.
It has a BLOS carb feeding the LPG. Originally had a ring fitted, but never got on with that.
This does need a quick look at, I think the membrane might be on its way out (will sort that of course)
She always restarts straight away.
Advisory last year was a ball joint, which was changed.
It's a brilliant car, love it to bits, but fancy a change.

Oh, and the LPG was fitted in my ownership, in January 2011.
All new bits, certified.

The K-Jet will be rebuilt too, and she'll have a fresh MOT.
Any takers?
Need the money to fund the MX-5 repairs...
