Thoroughly enjoyed the whole year. Well worth bookmarking. I remember laughing at the thought of it all at the beginning and then finding myself pleasantly surprised at the fact that you were sticking with it regardless. Even managed to buy a couple of cars that are on my wish list as well, namely the Merc SEC, I'd love a 560 Brabus, and the Trans-am, ideally the earlier one with the 6.6L but changes can be made, lol.
Thank you for providing an entire years worth of entertainment

Found this yesterday and have now lost best part of a day to catching up. So well written. A lovely idea followed through with style and humour. A thread that represents the best or RR. Congrats Mr PS. You are a star. Now write it up as a book.

Can't believe I missed this thread until Smoke Em bumped it! Awesome couple of days reading. Piston popper you have the patience of a saint and a level of self control I could only wish for. If I embarked on this I'd still have all the cars as I don't suffer fools gladly and get kind of attached to stuff...
Point of order though, as much as the automotive content was as entertaining as it was fascinating, I can't let this one slide - Clive Dunn didn't sing the Dads Army theme tune, it was written and sung by Bud Flanagan!
Oh and while I'm here, one other thing with regards to spotty faced boy racers - I can kind of forgive the young lads in their Corsas, Fiestas etc we were all young once and I for one certainly thought nothing snaps knicker elastic quicker than winning traffic light grand prixs! I get that quite a bit in both my Corrado and my Porsche and sometimes I'll join in, most of the time I let it slide. The ones that get me though are the Citroen Picassos, Quashquais etc that sit up your backside then when you pull over go "hurtling" past at anything up to 80mph just so they can say "Look kids - Dads just beaten a Porsche!
