Still clearing out after the move of units, and this has to go as I have neither the time or space for it sadly. It has been past between a few of us, all hoping to one day get round to it (FYI V5 is in my name), but I think it's about time it goes to someone who'll actually revive it as it deserves and it really is worth saving.
Basically a 316 with a 323i engine fitted - I have to stress that it's in the hole, but has never been fully connected up or running in this car so can't vouch for it's condition. Project was started as a reshell of a 323i (long gone) that never really got that far - but it does mean it's worthy of restoring.
The shell is actually surprisingly solid, with the rear arches (inner and outer) very good for an e21. The bonnet is a new old stock item, it's never been properly painted so there is a little surface rust starting, so needs some soon but I doubt you'll find a more solid example on a car except in the dessert. The sills aren't bad, but do need a couple of small patches (see photos). Otherwise it needs repairs to the front and rear valances, a couple of patches on the front inner wings and at least a nearside front wing.
Has an Alpina front spoiler, but sadly this is far from good condition - it's a little warped, and has a crack that has been 'repaired' with zip ties. Would repair well with a little fiberglass and some tlc.
Otherwise there is no interior to speak of as such, though the dash is there and ok. Comes with a set of alloy wheels - no idea if rare or not, and also the standard set of steels - safe to assume all tyres are well past safe road use!
If you fancy coming to have a look, drop me a PM. And now for some photos:
