I like:
Small cars - J K Class type, if you're going to have a small car then do it properly. A new Fiesta isn't a small car.
Big cars - Jag XJ6 as a minimum. Any car that seats 7 but isn't a stretch limo (or an MPV). I'm currently getting a hot sweat and racing pulse over the big American saloons that they tried to sell over here just after WW2
Art Deco - Tatra streamliners, Cord 810, Dusenburg. More money than my house, but what's the point of an exotic dream if it's within easy reach.
60s racers - or things modified for racing in the 60s, when sex was safe and driving was dangerous. Love it.
1920s / 30s tourers - An Invicta S Type with underslung chassis makes me drool. I'll build something like that one day

This week I have been mostly liking: Volvo 850 T5s Jaguar XJ40s Fully fendered '27 T roadsters Chevy II Daisy mags Metros Raleigh Burners Old Mercs - they seem to be everywhere 'round here ATM OK so the 850's not really retro but I looked at a couple before buying the Mondeo, and I'm now thinking I may have made the sensible decision instead of buying what I WANTED. Lesson learned!

fenderless 30s hotrods, but not roadsters. obscure/road less trodden american v8s- cadillacs, studes, M-E-L etc. anything not chevy, ford, or mopar. banded steels and reverse rims. split rims. negative offset. stretched tyres. stacklight mercs but not the coupes. obscure japanese pickups 2 door wagons. 14x7 reverse rim astro supremes with 175 skinny whitebands. black wheels. negative camber that just tucks the tyre into the arch at the top. lowback bucket seats. chainlink wheels. tall shifters. fullsize '58-'64 americana. commer vans front mounted oil coolers stainless exhaust systems hard slam scruffy cars with big motors that scream 'attitude'- power not paint manual gearboxes gassers with piecrust slicks and gold leaf lettering chin spoilers. debumpering kirkey seats that lot will do for starters

- Digital dashboards - Over the top stock 1980s radios with graphic equalisers and tape decks - Sofa-style "Moquette" seats in light colours with buttons - Light coloured interiors in general, especially tan - Excessive use of stock stickers detailing the spec (particularly like the huge one on the side of my Avanzato which says "TR-XX TWIN CAM 16V TURBO" in unsubtle red, also the huge lined "4WD" on Townaces) - The word "TURBO" located on inappropriate locations like seats and steering wheels (or in the case of the original Charade Turbo, on the air filter element) - Factory Two-tone paint (as in lower half of car painted one colour, top half another) - The disgusted look people give you when you drive a car featuring most of the above

One thing that came in for a lot of flak in the "I don't like it" thread, which I actually like (or at least don't mind...):
Modern stereos in retros!
I thought the forum had been invaded by beardies when I read the hating! My personal view is: I don't give a f*ck about originality. I don't care if some beardy looks through the window of my ride and go "Ooh, look Colin! He's kept the original twiddly-knob tape player with 0.005W output and everything!". I don't want to be fishing under the dash every time I want to skip tracks / change the CD. One of the first things I did when I got my Merc was junk the stupid wireless and punt it on eBay and install a CD player.

With my opinion on radios, it's not the whole originality thing (as if people didn't change their radios ever in the old days!), more that some modern radios stick out like a sore thumb due to their colour schemes and design. A bit like putting a modern silver steering wheel in an old Jag with walnut everywhere. The fact it is a CD player in a 60s car or whatever doesn't bother me one bit, the AM radio in the Charmant is cool as hell but if I had to regularly drive long distances it would see the boot! I recall KP Nuts has a modern radio which looks pretty cool and subtle, can't remember what it was though. And everyone loves that (expensive) Becker Mexico one:
