Having measured with a PCD caliper that showed 100mm, and being an ex-joiner of some years experience I'm pretty happy with my ability to use a tape measure. But not one to be too proud to admit when I may be wrong I've put a straight edge over them. (my digital vernier won't fit inside the wheel). If anything it could be argued that they're 101mm if we're being very picky, but I'm unaware of that being a standard size for anything. James

4x101.6 is 4x4" in real money- a very common PCD back then, so much more likely than 4x100. vauxhall was even it pre-chevette, as well as pretty much all BL products. an edge to edge measurement is more accurate than trying to do centre to centre. the different is slight but does have a big effect on the wheel nuts seating properly, especially with sleeve nuts such as these.
I'm always very wary of anyone selling/describing older wheels, especially slot mags, minilites, and the like as 4x100, as they're almost always not.

If the PCD is correct, I'm wondering what car might have worn them before? 100mm, wide arches, 13" rims, intended for motorsport? BMW:

I also never they're Chevette HSR wheels, but they might've been fitted to an HSR. They're definitely not standard fitment on any car - they're aftermarket...the question is what are they most likely to have been bought for? If they're 4x100, then my guess is for an HSR, if they're 4x4" then the possibilities seem less - perhaps a racing Midget/Sprite?

Morning guys, sorry my bad. I missed the 101.6 mm suggestions yesterday. It looks like it's that for sure. Thanks for all the help and patience with this very out of practice and unobservant Muppet!

I know its a bad pic, but I think this is pretty close as alot of you guys forgot to check the valve location. Any ideas of the name though?

I think that is a starspec minilite as used by most group4 rally cars back in the day and the same as the one in this thread.
