Well, "life" mostly... But I still have found time to get on with a bit of "stuff"
You may recall I have a '66 Buick LeSabre which has been dormant a very long time. Well that is now down with Dez for expert welding skillzorz and should be back in fine fettle in almost no time.
Seen here keeping dubious company
You may remember the '63 Chrysler 300 I have? Well that has been undergoing brake rebuild after an unfortunate incident in the MOT station where I jammed the parking brake on so tight the car was immobile for 2 hours in the bay while we got it moving again. I was not popular there... Anyway...
Its now got dual circuit brakes and pretty much everything rebuilt. Just needs a bit of finishing off and I can take it for an MOT again. You may have spotted a couple of Lincolns there...
Well Lincoln #1 I bought off eBay. Its a 1971 Continental Mark III. It has the 460 V8 and its a lovely thing.
Its currently in the "needs a couple of jobs for the MOT" stage. Basically it needs a carb rebuild and a couple of silencers.
I had a Mustang GT convertible for a bit but I didn't get on with the manual box. It had a load of go-fast goodies on it though and was quite a hoot.
I sold it though. And I got in touch with the guy I'd bought the Mark III off because I knew he had a Mark IV which was surplus to his requirements.
So I bought the Mark IV with the Mustang money
It is also a 460 4 barrel car. I love this one. It has to be one of my favourite cars I have owned and I have owned a few now...
It currently needs an MOT because I have just been too busy and MOTs which expire at Christmas SUCK
You may also recall I had a '81 Buick which was a 4.1 V6 which has very slowly been turning itself into a 455 powered sleeper? No? I keep forgetting that one as well to be honest. Well the motor is in now and it only needs "a few bits" to finish it off so it is up at 5Speed in Hucknall where it is their problem now.
It got a bit filthy while in storage at Stef's yard too...
I did have something else, which I sold, lord only knows what it was now, but I bought an Oldsmobile Delta 88 with the money I got. It was OK. I cleaned it up, tuned it up, put some RS Alloys on it and sold it again.
I don't recall what happened to the money from the Olds but I happened to fancy another Lincoln. I bought a Versailles 351 off eBay and Onne and I drove it back from deepest Oxfordshire. It got me home OK but the main bearings seem shot. So that one is currently up at MK Autos in Langley Mill for a bit of a bottom end rebuild.
This should also be picking up a bit of PWAAAR courtesy of a new-old period Offenhauser intake manifold, carb off a '73 Mustang 351C, performance air filter, desmog, HEI distributor and loud dual exhausts. I may make those less loud.
I think that's about it.
Did I miss much?
