A very nice retro. You may want to watch the weight of that 8-ball on the column shift, you don't want it shifting out of park while you are out of the car!

That is a real gem...
It's hard to imagine that when these things were being spat out NSU were making the Ro80 and BMW were just about to launch the e12 5-series...!!! Crazy...
So, is your car going to stay as it is...?! It looks pretty much perfect so I do hope so!

sorry was abit unwell last night when I posted this has to go to the hospital not owned it long to be honest but been after one for a while I originally brought it to race next year but have a more rough one to use now so have been using it as my daily runner its quite solid but the fibreglass wings are very poorly fitted and front panel is rough and sadly I thought id tow a rover 75 with it the other day and blew up the auto gearbox so will now change it to floor change manual 103e you are right it did keep going into reverse due to the weight of the ball lol to be honest I think I might convert it to manual and run it as it is and see what I do next year maybe ill attempt to do the bodywork, after all you cant beat a light up grille badge  |

Lovin the 16/60, I grew up on these, my Dad had two of them brand new, , both Auto's, 1964 and 1967, two tone Rose Taupe over 'beige' with Red Leather. They followed his earlier 15/60 and Farina Family transport ended in March 1970 when he took delivery of an 18/85 MK2 Auto, PAS. They were company cars and my Dad organised everything. By all accounts, when he picked up the Company Secretary in the 18/85 which is a bit 'small Rolls' inside with all the walnut dash and door cappings he was asked how he came to have such a car, to which he replied "well you signed the cheque"....... The company secretary was not very car minded, saw Wolseley on the order and thought my Dad had ordered a replacement 16/60 LOL., we have still got the 18/85 but I guess the 16/60's are long gone, he was a 35,000 mile a year driver so by the time they were at three years old they had 'been round the clock' as we used to say. 987KOP and JOC32E IIRC. If ever you come down Porlock Hill, make sure it drops into low before you descend, it didn't engage for my Dad once and we came down that hill at heck of a rate, you could smell those drum brakes. Dad managed to stop it in the end before we wiped out Porlock Garage, the old BMC agent at the bottom of the hill. He used to laugh about it afterwards, but it wasn't a laughing matter 'in the moment'. I used to sit upfront between my Mom and Dad, no seatbelt, shudder to think, but back in the 60's that was how it was. Fond memories www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C106776 |

I just need to post this to Retro Rides first..." Lovely a 16/60 my dad had one in the 80's and took me to school in it, kids at school thought it was a Rolls Royce, because kids are stupid, but it was awesome and comfortable!  |

this one was two tone Rose Taupe over beige with Red Leather sadly the paint has been bodged and is poor and the interior was hand painted black so i put in a good set of red cambridge interior that i had
and yea iv been putting it off for a couple of weeks but it got worse so i had to go in the end turns out its only a bad chest infection but the tabs they have gave me look like a horse should be taking them :/

Ahah, a make over at sometime in its long life, tbh the colour scheme looked unusual, but quite nice. Reminds me of my Gramps Wolseley 1100, that was Damson over White/Grey. Dad was a bit of a car aficionado in the family so it is no surprise that everyone had a Wolseley. In 1975 by aunt was going to buy a Bluebird and after a conversation with my Dad a Wolseley 6 turned up.
These days, whilst I own Dolomite Sprints, and my Dad's 18/85, my time on classics is limited to a bit of armchair participation, to busy running Kart 30 in Formula TKM for "yoof" Kart 30 Matt England if you want to see a good race
