The idea was to buy it and leave it as it was, i spend far to much time and money on the camaro.
I might just leave it. the last thing i need now is another project. especially with another little'un on the way

Loving it,.. Looks cool straight out the box... so you might as well leave it if it means more time can be spent on the Camero Now Mr.87iroc I notice you are involved with a couple of clubs can you make sure the members are aware of the Retro Rides Show .. www.retro-rides-show.com but great to get some yank cars attending..

It is quite cool.
But I admit I do struggle to understand the rationale behind this sort of car being a useful family tool....
I mean, the steering wheel is on the wrong side. And the passenger rear door is DEFFO on the wrong side (mmmm, getting the children out into the flow of traffic, joy!), and surely they are a bit lardy and thirsty for a 'useful'vehicle.
I guess what I am saying is, why does no-one do this treatment on a euro/J people mover. Imagine this style applied to an early espace. Or better still, a mid-80's Mitsi SpaceWagon. That would have me 'ooofing' my dad-pants before you know it. LOLZ.

I get 30 mpg on a run and around 25 to the gallon in town driving which is better than most 4x4s its about the same size as a 4x4 / caravelle and other car drived vans The whole passenger side door is depended on what side of the road i park so i'm not sure where your coming from there ? and its no different infact safer than a standard door as it doesn't swing out. Very strange comments

Really not as much money as you think mate. £5,500 will get you a nice low milage example and you can get them cheaper than that.
Mine is a low roof version which is quite a bit rarer, but has not got the toys that the high roof ones have

I did consider those mitsu space wagons , the reliability is amazing apparently. you happy with yours Absolutely fantastic car/van/mpv whatever ytou want to name it. Reliability is superb as is the build quality, its just a bit thirsty round town, (19mpg and I'm an easy driver!!!) Mine has sat nav, all electrics, air con etc etc. The only downside is the seats arent as clever as the newer mpv's but to be honest, it doesnt bother us. Its veeeerryyy comfortable too.

Yeah mine has the mega comfy captain seats . no sat nav but it has air con and full electrics.
I really cant recommend these MPV's more as family vehicles

They are good for so many purposes. You can have a normal 4 seater (mine is a six seater) and a huge boot, or the six seats and carry the kids, missus, me and mother in law (hmmm) or remove the lot and its a van. Because mines a six seater the front four all have their own armrests and they really are comfy. Its only a 2.4 but its got a fair amount of go for a good sized vehicle and will cruise at 90 all day if needed. Very refined too.

very similar set up to mine. mine has a 3 seat bench and exactly the same 4 captain chairs. Like you say the car can be used as anything.
I have the 4 captains chairs in place and then the rear bench is removed for a huge load space that is generally taken up by my big hairy german shepherd
