Love it!
With the Maser ECU, do you need to do some drive cycles for it to fully understand its role in life?
With mine there's a proscribed list of drive actions but it will learn without, just a bit slower.

Yep, it needs to be driven, but it will learn with it just moving around the yard.

I finally re-installed the steering column covers and figured out what wires go where, using the factory switches on the stalks. It took a while but wiring the lights should be a breeze now. I still have to build a blinker circuit for the indicators/repeaters. Never done one of those before but should be no big deal with a bit of searching around. The power windows actually go up and down and the car becomes a little better with each addition. You know, I can drive it around the block right now if I wanted to. I need a chase vehicle in case something breaks and I have to tow it home. If we get it out, I'll be sure to film it.

I really have to learn to enjoy bodywork. But I don't. Tons left to go.

Turn signals couldn't be easier.
Go get an electronic flasher unit from Autozone or somewheres, hook the + side to the battery feed. Hook the - side to the turn signal common wire.
Put the L and R sides to the lights, and the lights to chassis.
Presto, blinkers.
I presume it also needs 4-way warning lights to pass inspection up there?

Ha! Thanks man! Inspection? We don't have any inspections on cars this old. Ours stop at 25 years. The car has a clear title, so all I need is license plates and insurance. After that, all you have to do is make sure it has seat belts, head lights, tail lights and brake lights but that's just so you don't get pulled over. Turn signals aren't required by law you can use hand gestures. Ohio and Michigan are great for this kind of stuff. Over in Pennsylvania which is only one state over, this thing would never fly...

Ha, okay. In that case yes, the blinkers are real easy to wire up. My car still has inspection down here, though there's no emissions on it any more. I refitted mine with an electronic unit because it'll always blink at the same rate no matter what load is attached to it. Makes it good for LED bulbs, so on. The old one would not blink unless the engine was running and the day was warm, and then it was sporadic. Also with the electronic ones you can wire up two telltales easily into the dash that'll blink in time without loading the circuit up and making it blink at an odd rate. Good progress, if it's to the point you're thinking about arbitrary stuff like turn signals --Phil

1-2 more passes with the body filler. A whole day goes by when you're doing this curse word. I think I'm on the 2nd or third day of this. Can't remember. Tomorrow and Sunday are booked, so no car work :/

I'm not a fan of regular sports, so I don't watch the stuff. Motocross, BMX and drag racing, sure. If your Biturbo is driving, YES we need to do a chase video combined with that fantastic idea of a funny script. It would be hilarious!

I've been chipping away at it, we're hoping to get it in Primer this weekend. These four tips did not look right at all. More like some kind of strange cartoon musical instrument rather than a car exhaust. My son approves of this look, so that it's then. Then many sessions of sanding bodywork. Booooo

Yeah, it looked awful. I really don't care for the two oval tips either, but hey- they're from a 2002 Corvette, so that's something.. haha It's all good I am going to have fun with this car before it goes up for ebay auction starting at 99 cents and let it do, what it does... lol

My car, is BLACK. It still needs wet sanded and then clear, but we laid the paint & primer on thick. I'll wet sand it out in a couple days and then we'll spray the clear on it and wet sand & polish that out. My buddy Jeff paints motorcycles all the time and We got it taped, primed and color laid down on it today. The small yellow pinstriping will be here by the time the clear is polished out.
