I've had a proper hoot in this, I love it's sound, it's lack of visibility, it's surprising turn of speed Did I mention it's sound, cos it's blooming addictive to rev it at any opportunity.. So the good bits are... 5.7 litre Chevy v8 Electronic Distributor Th350 gearbox, (comprising of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and overdrive so nice n relaxed on the motorway.) Double wishbone front with coilovers Capri 280 discs Austin Princess 4 pots Jag IRS Rear MOT exempt, it was owned by my mechanic friend prior to me, so its all good. Tax exempt Had a rather nice roof chop. All the lights work Indicator stalk actually flashes with the indicators. (V cool) Windscreen winds out. Some very nice Centreline rims on it. Bad bits... Rear visibility is terrible, its a hot rod after all. Runs a 35 litre fuel cell so no gauge. This car sounds great, goes great and has everybody waving or smiling. I've even fitted a child seat in the back. (Not being sold with the car) This is going to fund my engine swap on my Magnum otherwise I'd keep it. The video shows a spike on the back of the body which has since been removed. 1948 Hot Rod 350ci startup: Regards Nick 0 triple seven nine 570 260

Hi greenfordpopIt's on coilovers up front, I believe with Granada brakes. Wasn't really looking for a straight swap as I need to replace the wife's car. Having said that what have you in mind, the only stipulation is ut can't be any larger than something Audi a3 sized or french built. sorry.

LOL my daily is a Peugeot 406 est, but i wasn`t going to offer that! Most of my money is tied up in cars so it would be a number of my cars i could offer you 1959 100e X/flowed, Escort front, anglia ect in satin black with big n` little red steels! And a classic Mini with only 28,000 miles from new. Both cars on the road. Thats not all tho, lastly i have a 1927 Model T project. Chassic, body, roof, front suspension and rear axle ect with a logbook. greenfordpop

Having just put your proposal to the wife, I'm now typing this reply from under the stairs, if I don't breathe she won't find me. Suffice to say its a no (unfortunately) the words 'and what am I supposed to do for transport' did pop in amongst the expletives. A cross flowed 100e sounds right up my street. Sorry greenfordpop

Hi All
Thanks for the interest in the Hotrod, I've had a mixed tail end of 2014 and have decided to keep hold of this one for a bit longer.
This add was originally placed as the Mrs was having a bit of an "everything must go" moment following her Audi's RTA. On top of this my other fun car has decided to not want to work any more, so until such point I can get that going again I'll be using this in the meantime.
Regards Nick

After meeting the chairman of the Ford Pop club at Queens square the other month, he informed me that the Ford 8 was only made for a 2yr period.
1938 & 1939 So I think the DVLA got the date wrong at the point this was registered in the UK as it states '48.
Anyway it's still a rare beast as there are a lot of Pops out there. Body is all steel apart from the fibreglass rear arches.
Wipers work on a worm gear as opposed to a vacuum setup.
My Magnum is inline for an engine swap which this is going to fund, so I can't take any swaps I'm afraid.

Had an interesting chat with the other half earlier. She actually stated she wished we could keep this but I had to remind her that our son is rapidly out growing his seat. (WTF I'm being the sensible one) So have some inspiration where you could take this.

Updated main page and re added here too as I was asked if it had Electronic Ignition, well it has an Electronic Distributor no less So the good bits are...
