Going through the PC again, found pics of a couple of cars I was interested in buying. The Standard has a Jag IRS, Viva IFS, Ford V6. IIRC. I think it was £800. first off I though I'd finish it in a couple of weekends and then I thought I'd never finish it. I certainly never bought it, but wish now I had.
I wonder what ever became of it?
Next up is a 1970 Buick Wildcat, 455 big block and a very reasonable price. I sold my blue Mk3 Cortina and was trying to sell the AMC Abassador to buy this to be my new daily driver. For various reasons I ended up swapping the AMC for my '65 Oldsmobile though and never got the Buick. I still want it though!
Another one I considered along the way but was unable to liquidate appropriate assets for funding was this Datsun Cedric wagon, even got the rear seats in it. Sweet.
I think I had just missed this one for sale
And this was emailed me as an example of how cool they can look with a bit of updating. But I was thinking slot mags.
Obviously.
This Dodge Aspen was available (and may still be) for next to nothing. I was originally only interested in the rear axle and springs for my Chrysler. But its a solid rust free car. Has no engine or box and was used just as a race car for a long time so has a lot of the road legal stuff either disconnected or missing.
I suspect its been scrapped now.
And another one I strugged to try put the money together for and failed was this 1970 Plymouth Sport Satelitte. New California import. Shame I couldnt snag it, I bet its a Roadrunner or GTX clone now.
