Volvo C30 this time.
OK Volvo are trying to be fun and witty and whacky with they adverts. Kiss my flippin chuddies. The accountantmobile has a smaller version now. Hooray. Lets try make it seem really exciting.
What really bugs the titties off me though is the eyes advert. Oooh lets get all Salvadore Dali and some eurotrash accent voiceover says "I thin kit will attract a lot of eyes". WFT? Does that even mean anything? Its not even like its a common expression or colloquialism? cockmonkeys. Now if they had a bunch of heads spinning round and round and exploding perhaps and someone says "what a frikkin head turner" then you'd say yeah, right I see where they are comoing from with that. But this half assed "attract a lot of eyes" plums what are they on, they ain't even trying are they....
chicken chokin bare back ass riding pish mongers.
OTOH I do like the new Skoda "favourite things" advert, although it makes me hungry.
I like cake.

The advert that bugs me is the Prius one that claims its better for the environment It might have less emissions when running off the battery's but what about all the emissions that were made manufacturing the Battery's and how often they will need replacing.

thats what i always think about the fuel cell stuff on cars, its not renewable, the source of that is gonna end sometime, then what, no oil, then no *insert substance because iv forgotten what it is*.
they tell us to turn all the stuff off, yet u walk outside in a city at night and theres millions of blue lights to make it look pretty and loads of office blocks lit up, feck off.
but i do like the new fabia advert, although i don't like the car itself, wonder if they actually built it all properply like it suggests, although doesnt really show anything good about the car except its a bit doughey

the NASA thing beliese the fact that a lot of Nasa funding is through public research so they don;t patent what they discover so that it can be freely used by other peope to further research for man's general benefit.
Audi parent everything down to the screw to retain the ashrtay clip so that they can stop people making 3rd party parts and screw as much money out of the poor saps who buy their cars as possible.
But they present it in such a way to make it look like they are good. Not money grabbing corporate bastards.
Those Vauxahll adverts put me off having kids. Seriously.

Agreed, totally pointless but "no cars in car adverts" been done before - in late 80'S and early 90'S Ford did one with Animals walking round a nature reserve and the title 'It may be your car, but it's still our baby' !!!? What on earth were they on?

I LOVE the Skoda advert..... to me that's what advertising cash should be spent on. It makes the car appear fun, it makes the company appear touchy-feely.
The alternative is stuff like the Volvo advert with the evil/nice bunny, which just makes me think they built an ugly car and are trying to do something with it. Or the Vauxhall grown-up-kids advert which makes me want to buy a Zafira, put those precocious brats in the back then drive it into the canal.

they're only adverts. More funny than annoying.
What makes me laugh is these super duper low carbon "love or hate" satnav cars will all be forgotten about and dissapear into the crusher pretty soon.
It will only be anoraks like us who remember them at all.

every time I hear some limp-wristed pretentious fop talk about carbon footprints or hybrid vehicles, it makes me want to buy a prius...
...and rip out the batteries, deposit their contents all over the simpering prat and stick a big cummins diesel in it with a turbo the size of a dustbin lid.

Actually that's an idea, has anyone bought a Prius and installed a dirty great V8 in it?
Prius drag car with enormous arches would be brilliant on so many levels!
