Props to you for rescuing that! These things are some of the coolest vans around.
Wondering about the panels myself - are those actually new replacement panels? I wouldn't have thought the scene for these to be so big (mainly because of how few of these survived) that there would be actually new bodypanels available?

Thanks! Some parts you get new, both in glassfiber and steel. Black is steel and white is glassfiber. The silver ones i have got made local. New parts are really expensive, all the new parts i could get i have gotten now besides the rear hatch as you can get new, but i use the one i have, I did rear wings with curves like the old model, think it looks better. I am waiting for two doors from France these days since mine is so rusted on the inside. will put on new seals and new door locks as i have now. It have sliding windows. Not so much rust now, the sandblasting under will take the rest. There are also a bit rust with the sliding door, but will be fixed. I will update here as soon something new happens. My goal is to drive it next year and it should not be a big problem. Parts are from www.citroworld.com in Holland.

Hi, my wife gave me two Citroen HY vans as a 50th birthday present! She bid for them on eBay in France and although she was only wanting one she had to agree to take the second one as it was going to cost the guy money to get rid of it! Anyway, I smiled, said thank you and headed off to pick up HarrY and Henry, named by the kids, in France and deliver them to a friend’s yard in Gironde. Having been let down by a couple of guys who were going to do some work on them I headed over again to pick up HarrY and bring him back to the UK. As I did not have a garage here, and only skills picked up as a kid, I have enrolled in a Classic Car restoration course in Liverpool and am making progress on the chassis and bodywork. With that side under way I have started trawling the web for a solution to the mechanical side of things. I intend converting the van to a camper and with three young children, and hopefully still youngish by the time I’m finished, I need reliability and efficiency in getting around.
I’ve bookmarked your project and look forward to seeing the progress…and I’ll get around to posting my own project!
