Wife's daily is exactly like this one but in blue. This one kind of fell in to my lap, 24k on the clock, FHSH & 2 owners, the 2nd being a retired lady Dr who got it with 100 miles on the clock. It's pretty much like new, really good car & I'm not telling anyone what I paid for it lol. Likewise! We had a perfectly good Mazda 6 estate and then my Aunt called to see if we were interested in this CRV. I'd never seen it as they barely took it out! This was March 2011 and it only had 17k miles up it at that point. I don't mind telling you that I paid £5.5k for it which was what Kia were offering in p/x and, at that point, was at least £2k under what they were fetching on Autotrader.

This handsome beast... Newest and nicest car I've ever owned, which is a depressing realisation when you consider I'm 31. Anyway, yeah, this. E46 318i 2.0. I've had it six months, racked up nearly 30k and it's never missed a beat. However, it's in for its MOT tomorrow, so that could all change. Chris

Chris E46s are getting silly cheap now, plenty of these at less than a grand.

2005 Seat Leon FR Tdi. Smashing little motor that I think I'm going to keep for ever. Bought it from a mate who had it from new, 9 years old now and just turned 35K miles. Just had the wheels powder coated in graphite since they were starting to corrode around the valves, apart from that she's bog standard.

Rover 114GTa...one of few that hasnt had a VVC dropped in so still a 1.4 8v Spent some money on it and I'm nearly happy...had an 1985 mini before so it has a very fun daily position to replace. Used it for a year now, just had fresh MOT Not a good pic but still Mini is off the road looking sorry for itself as i keep promising it some much needed TLC And i have a Rover 214 Cabriolet that needs some TLC, less than the mini so that will be done first. Yes i like old british tat. don't post much but i just looked through all these and thought its only fair i show what i got.

Me and the daily... Part of a shoot we did for LRM. It's a pain in the sometimes but can't help make me smile, 40 to the gallon as well so it's the most economical car in the fleet!

I don't drive every day, but when I do, it's the Granada (it's the only car I've got!).

For the last few years it's been a mk2 jetta gti but as theres no work carpark it lives on side streets so want to take it off the road and fully restore it and use something I don't really care if it gets scratched etc. Polo saloon might take over daily duties once I've finished the paint/mechanics if I keep it or a lightly scruffy 85 golf gti which followed me home the other week.

I know it doesn't fit the bill but I've got one of these: ...and I love it. Unbelieveably quick for a diesel, and averaging 60mpg if you're reasonably sensible. I do 15k+ a year now so 6 litre plus V8s are out the window
