I have this not so innocent looking XR2 for sale.
Don't know an awful lot about it other than the aforementioned engine conversion in it, I've done no work to it other than wash it!
It's a 2.1ZVH hybrid engine, 2.0 Zetec bottom end with CVH turbo top end bolted to it, oversized forged pistons making it a 2.1.
It's done less than 600 miles since a rebuild so is still running in at the moment.
It will need a bit of setting up once it's done a few more miles as it can be a little stubburn to start but she's fine once running.
It's got a T3 turbo, Series 2 RS Turbo Gearbox with good LSD in it.
Samco hoses fitted to it, Koni shocks, upgraded brake pads and shoes, boot mounted battery, strut brace and front mounted fan.
It's got a wallet full of receipts, dyno'd October last year @ 187bhp with 220lbf/ft of torque before the T3 was fitted.
It's also hpi clear, how relevant that is on a car this old etc who knows but it's in there anyway.
Interior is a bit dirty and could do with tidying up, has RST Recaro's which are rip free but are a bit grubby.
Outside is generally tidy, shell seems solid, N/S front wing has a corrosion hole about the size of 5p coin but it's solid generally.
Has aftermarket clear indicators and rear lights and some tacky number plates which all want getting rid of and putting some O.E ones on for the full stealth effect and it would look better for it as well.
The alloys are generally ok, the front two show signs of corrosion and really they all want refurbing to make it tidy and one is missing it's cente cap.
MOT until 17th February 2015 - obviously the will be not tax as per the new rules.
All in all a real wolf in sheep's clothing, with plenty of scope for more upgrades.
I'm looking for £1850 which i think is fair.
The running gear is probably worth that alone so no silly offers please.
