This seems to becoming a bit of repetitive subject of mine, but here it is another monza inner wing rebuild I wont bother going into the detail I have before cos its all a bit repetitive I will just update it once or twice before its done. Anyway this is the car in question A rather nice (and rare) 3.0S belonging to Craig from TWOMAS and ABS Driver side doesnt look to bad as its had a fairly decent repair done before but the strut top is around 15mm inward from where it should be Passenger side is fubarr`ed though In total the struts are 40mm out as can be seen here Start cutting and find there are about 3 layers of steel on the reinforcement section And four layers on the top section Anyway the worst of this side is cut out now so tomorrow night I can line it up and start letting fresh steel in

I think I might have to retire after this one or I will never get my own projects done Man your good with those Monza front ends! 40mm out must have made it drive like a pig! Some nice work going on there, looked beyond repair at first! According to craig it drove fine. The last one I did was 75mm out, 25mm on the drivers side and it had been welded in that position, the passenger side was 50mm out when the wheels were on the ground and by holding the strut top and shaking it you could make it move 40mm, that one drove alright as well

Buy that and we can do a front end, suspension and 3.0 12V swap at the same time, it`d be rude not to

theres something about monzas that seems...intoxicating.
they don't send out that immediate "zomg!!!1 need that now!!" vibe that I get from notchback Type3s, Kadett koops, 2-door 510s or cholo-style lowriders...but every time I see one, it gnaws away a bit of me inside and I know that there needs to be one in my life at some point...
