To work on something impish, aiming for something like.... When I first say them I thought "Awesome they almost look kinda like Fuchs', but the more I look at them, they look like a yank Cragar or something. So what dya reckon? I'm tempted to go with them anyway, I reckon rechromed they might look alright. I really don't want to get sucked into the whole "OMG to pull that look off everything has to be exactly like this" sort of thinking, but at the same time, I don't want it to look silly!

I know what you're saying, but they reminded me more of Firenza \ Magnum steels than anything else...
That said, they would look reet on a GTO or Biscayne.....
What's the PCD anyhoo?

I thought they were cragars in the first place. They look pretty cool - dunno if them being a bit yankish is a bad thing though.

Yep, they look like Appliance or Cragar to me. Nice rims, I think they will look great on an Imp.

The trouble with Appliance Steel Spokes (or the Cragar equivalent) is that once the chrome starts to rust then it'll cost a fortune to put it right. Unless the chrome is perfect then personally I don't think they'd fit in with the resto-cal look.

Wonder if a bit of black paint could come to the rescue re: naff chrome..... Not sure if it would quite look like that in real life though!

The only way to find out is to try it! Makes a change from minilites or steels though. Aren't imps the same stud pattern as minors? if they are you wont have any trouble selling them on if it doesn't work.

Nice wheels and hard to find in a 4 spoke these days. Used to be everywhere. Try them, see what they look like, if you don;t like them, then you can sell them. A lad I know had a set of 13" rims he wanted rechroming and they were coming out like £70 a wheel. And that was a few years back.

Re-chroming wheels is expensive. However its still cheaper than chrome powder coating. My gf's brother got quoted £190 a wheel to do that lol.
