What I'd give to put a diesel lump in my Mk2 (with a few creature comforts) and use it as my daily. The Wife would have a fit, but I'd be in heaven........

thanks for the kind words everyone, there are still lots of bits to do on it but i love it. such a fun little car to drive. and it is AMAZING on fuel. i drove from liverpool to fussen germany on a tank of diesel. which is only about £45. Amazing build , superb skills , diesel mk1 , best of both worlds :-) Great car You local to me then Wirral ....? thanks man, yeh not that far from you. the car was over your way the other day, my dad took it into work (birkenhead) to put it on the ramp. over the winter i will be doing a bit more work on this whilst also working on the other mk1. its in a bit of a sorry state  This is how it used to look before the last owner got his hands on it!   |

i thought the diesel would add a bit more character to it. plus i was planning on driving it across europe so the diesel made a lot of sense haha

yeh thrasher they do look very similar.
havent updated this for a while. but i have just ordered new door cards for her. so the interior is nearly finished now....
