I think he's a legend, when I've built a tenth of the stuff he has with a tenth of the originality and variety he's shown... I'll be a happy man Such individuality in the car game these days is rare. I salute you Andy Saunders... Long may you continue. (I even got dragged around in a pair of motorbike stunt shoes behind that speed boat after he sold it... ACE)

his mini 'claustrophobia' inspired me at an early age to have fun with cars,He's a great bloke! I had the pleasure of chatting to him about his turner prize entry some years back.

Has anyone seen his latest project ... the picasso citroen ? Mental I used to love reading about his stuff in street machine and custom car , totally original and brilliant. In fact , why isnt he on here? He was building retro stuff that most customisers wouldnt look twice at 30 years back. LEGEND

You've been telling me you were a genius since you were seventeen ... in all the time I've known you I still don't know what you mean !

I'm a fan, but some are OTT like the fiat, and the allegro was a low budget comedown, still potential. We need OTT though, bet kids love it!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Picasso 2CV is quite funky - if ultimately pointless.
Saw the Bentley at the NEC a few years back though, it is stunning.

The thing is, as much as Andy is a top bloke, he seems to be trying to move himself out of 'car builder' and into 'artist' territory. Apparently he's going for the Turner Prize with the 2CV, and wants £3million for it...
