Yeah it's got them on, they'll be coming out haha Took the side strips off today, made such A difference! It's getting there now. I'm going to get the bumpers re-textured soon, as there's a few marks in them, the seats are getting wet vac'd, then it's getting the correct size tyres, and it'll be finished, extremely happy with this little car!

Had one of these as my first car, it was a 98 and had about 80,000 miles on the clock, kept me going for a year until I purchases a mk1 fiesta... I've since owned another p reg mk4 which I did 25,000 miles in as a motorway commuter on a budget didn't fancy sitting in a mini for over 12 hours a week... well maintained these things just keep going, nice to see something without the usual rust

Yeah they're normally rotten, I think I'm getting an E30 touring to use during the winter, mainly to have fun, but also to preserve this and not risk getting it up to the eyes in road salt...

Glad you got the full-fat 1.3...when I met the woman who's now SWMBO in '95 she had a near-new 1.1i Fruscati which despite having done only about 15k made a noise not unlike someone dropping a bag of spanners down a stairwell and was quite possibly the slowest car I've ever driven. Glad you're keeping it stock, pretty soon all the Mk3/4's will have gone. There are a couple of old giffers near me who've both owned their H/J-plated Mk3s from new and keep them in virtually concours nick. They take them to shows together as well.
